Planters Ridge Winery

First time visiting but won't be the last...beautiful view to sit and enjoy some great wine! Was also neat to see how the original beams were still part of the structure.

Lovely spot with a relaxing atmosphere. The wines were delicious, and our hosts super friendly! They kindly fit us in even though they were close to closing. We appreciated the dog friendly nature of the vineyard :)

We recently had a wonderful 2 night stay in the newly renovated farmhouse. Loved the heated floor in the spa like bathroom!! Delicious breakfasts, very hospitable hosts, coupled with excellent wines.

Like the wine tasting bar concept. And the wine haha. Great views from the front patio. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Small friendly winery, tried 2 whites and a red, all first rate. Riesling was a good as I've tasted elsewhere. Great Tasting room in a century barn. I'll be returning for sure.

Phenomenal venue for a wedding! From the first stages of planning, Joanne (Planters Ridges’ day of coordinator) was absolutely fantastic! She offered us suggestions for vendors, helped us coordinate with vendors, and made the stressful experience of organizing a wedding seamless! We showed up with our decorations the day before, and Joanne and her team had the place beautifully decorated for the wedding! They also provided the tear down and had all our decorations neatly packed and ready the day after for pick up. Can’t thank her enough for all of her help! On top of that, the venue is beautiful! We even had access to the cellar room for photos! 10/10 would recommend to anyone else!

Great place! Scenery, view and staff are all superb!Definitely worth checking out if you are on the fence for a good winery.

We did 2 flights as they had a little bit of everything here: white, red, cider, mead and port. The lovey host maybe new, but was very sweet and knew enough about the wine to keep the conversation going.We came at the beginning of the season, so had the place to ourselves and was able to talk about the place a little more than usual. A great representation of the region in the glass. We ended with the rummed cider and sparkly rose in the cans. Love the can formats for sparkling wine so you don’t feel like you need to pop a whole bottle when you want just a glass.They also can ship across the country, except PEI, so you don’t have to lug it all the way home! Love NS wines, BC really should take note.

Wendy greeted us and helped us with our wine sampling. She was so friendly and very knowledgeable! They have hair facility in a beautifully renovated 160 year old barn that has a patio addition that over looks one of their vineyards. It’s absolutely breath taking. We had the white and red sampling. We had a few favourites but all the wines were excellent. We also sampled a rummed cider that was delicious.

I am a local wedding planner & designer and I recently had the pleasure of hosting a wedding and a wedding styled shoot at Planters Ridge Winery and it was the perfect venue!! When searching for a venue, I reached out to and visited many venues around the province, Planters Ridge was by far the most responsive and welcoming!Joanne, their Events coordinator was a dream to work with! She made sure to keep us in the loop with the constant changes due to COVID-19 and handled everything with professionalism! She was with us every step of the way and worked sooo hard!The food presentation was absolutely beautiful, the wine was delicious, the staff was extremely friendly and the property was absolutely stunning!!! Everything you could dream of for a wedding venue! I can't wait to plan & design more events at Planters Ridge in the future! I would absolutely recommend Planters Ridge for a wedding venue, or to just stop in, enjoy the views, and drink some delicious wine!
