attention all parents who need to buy school books. order from renaud bray or cheneliere. they offer free shipping to all orders 39$+. and their prices are either lower or the same. Thank you for Librairie Martin. Now I know I can order from Cheneliere! Here is the story. I ordered a school workbook. The book price was $26.5. paid $9.95+tax for shipping. provided address, phone number, and email address. The book got returned to them by Canada Post. they called me just to say if i want the book i need to pay shipping AGAIN. and they don't care how ridiculous to charge $20 shipping for one $26.5 book. while I was on phone, they simply CANCELLED the order, but kept 9.95$ + tax in their pocket. How rude! They kept saying that I didn't put the apartment no#. So what if it's a free shipping order? Nevertheless, it is not a wrong address. And my cell phone number has been provided. A good business will reach out to their account manager in Canada Post to help the paid customer. Bad business dump the customer without any effort and happily share the $10 with their partner. This is simply UGLY.

The level of service here unfortunetly depends on how you're dressed or your age. I think that service should be given equally regardless if you're an adult looking in the novels or a teen looking for a Manga. I did the experiment with my autistic, teenage boy (16), who wanted to spend all of his birthday money on upgrading his manga collection. Meanwhile, I was browsing nearby. I was approched 3 times and asked if I needed help. My son, who experiences high anxiety in crowds and with strangers, had to force himself to run after a staff member to ask about a specific issue number. The answer he got was curt and disinterested. No help was offered in ordering in the desired title. No notice was afforded him after that. I had to go and place an order for him as he no longer felt comfortable ordering the missing manga himself.Overall the place is nice and I, as an adult, have no complaints. The store is clean and has a wide variety of products. Covid procedures are well respected.Please remember that our younger readers are your future adult readers and customers.I look forward to returning again with my son in the future and hope the service improves.
