CIBC Branch with ATM

Absolutely APPALLING customer service. Giving this branch a 1 star is overly generous.Signed up an account with THE BRANCH MANAGER CYNTHIA. After leaving, the account was put on hold because of identification. Went back, gave identification - which worked for 2 weeks and again they put up the same hold.For a branch manager - this shows how inadequately this branch is managed.This also happened the exact same way with my spouse.

Read the reviews. It’s so obvious this branch is atrocious. 90% of the time the machine is “out of order” so you have to go in to receive sub par service.

Just moved to Brantford from Brampton and I'm really impressed with the service I received here compared to Brampton. Was rejected to get credit card in Brampton and told that I have bad credit history even though I am new to Canada and didn't even had a credit card. But thankfully, I got my first credit card today with the help of kahlie. She listened to my whole story patiently and helped me professionally. In other words, I'm very satisfied with service in Brantford.

I’ve banked with this bank for many years and for the most part I like them but I was pretty frustrated at a recent incident. My purse was stolen along with two different credit cards I had. I went to the bank to cancel everything and get new credit cards. The bank teller sent me to the back to sit with someone to get everything worked out and the lady was extremely friendly. However, she made a mistake and ended up only cancelling one of my cards and merging the other one onto the one card. I didn’t realize for two weeks so had someone else tried to use the stolen card, they still would have been able to. It was scary to think someone could have been using my card, even though I thought I had cancelled it but thankfully that didn’t happen.

New in town, first time visited this branch but service received is unforgettable, extremely bad and unreliable teller at the counter. Rgds

Just moved to Brantford tried two get my teenage daughters replacement debit card with proper identifications. Given an investigation. Probing personal questions as to why we were in town and questioning the validity of the card being canceled. Don’t give hard working, tax paying parents a hard time with no cause, do your due diligence.

I rarely ever go to the bank but this time I had to go and the teller was extremely rude. She had asked why I was banking in Brantford when my home branch was in another city and why I was coming even though I have an advisor. Why does it matter? Do your job. I eventually saw an advisor and she was very helpful, nice and quick .

You would think corporate would look at the reviews their so called respected clients are posting and attempt to make some changes. It’s unfortunate that every time I come here I have at least a 10 minute wait in line due to the lack of open tellers. Once I get to the counter I’m greeted by an ignorant, cold and uncaring teller or someone that is clueless. Issues every time! I would have given zero stars but Aaron today was a pleasant reminder of what the bank once was, friendly and attentive. You guys might want to give her a raise!

This is the worst bank I have ever had to deal with, the Manager is a joke and she should not have her job!!!!!! And the tellers are very rude (understandable if they follow their managers lead) i watched two tellers laughing at a handicap person trying to use the machine (no one offered to help), and this happened as i was dealing with the manger, she did nothing...... complete joke and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT DEALING WITH THIS BANK AND IF YOU ARE, GET OUT NOW.... or get out of this branch...

I should have read some reviews before banking here. I just work nearby so I figured I could get my a transfer done.I frequently send money to a family member in the US, and typically use wire transfer for it. The teller insisted they do not keep any info of previous transfers, hence suggested global money transfer since I already had an account made previously. Unfortunately you cannot use US account with GMT, so I asked her if she transfers money from US to CAD and send money from CAD account would cost me less than Wire transfer fee, after she did some exchange rate calculation she assured my I'd be saving at least 7$. So after she did the transfer I went over it again and found out that by buying and selling twice she cost me 20$ more than what the wire fee would have cost me. After facing her about it she made a illogical argument about some exchange rates, but realized she messed up. However did nothing to rectify the situation.. I mean if tellers can't do basic math with, then what good are they.. First time encounter it at CIBC, otherwise always been happy with Kitchener branches. Fault is mine for not doing the math myself and trusting her.. Disappointed.. Did I mention she put me on overdraft as well? At least told me to keep an eye if I get charged notify them to resolve it.
