If there's an award for kindness, patience, and understanding, Dr. Chen should win it. I'm a terrible optometrist patient because everything to do with eyes makes me anxious, but she always takes the time to explain what's happening with my eyes and vision, show me the comparisons between my most recent scans and past images, and provide recommendations for things I can do to help my eyes. I've seen a lot of different eye doctors over the years, but none of them have ever been able to keep me calm and comfortable the way Dr. Chen has during my last few appointments, simply with her friendliness and good humour. I'm so very grateful to her, and would recommend her to anyone needing an optometrist.

Hello everyone. I would like to share with you my recent first visit to the eye clinic.It started with the ladies at reception who were so friendly and accommodating. They took the time to explain the procedures from start to finish, being my first time there.After a very short wait in the comfortable well lit waiting room, I was escorted into an examination room by Dr. Angel Chen.She was very soft spoken, very accommodating, very thorough with her different stages of my eyes exam.I felt very comfortable after understanding my condition and what course of action was needed to rectify the problem.All in all, it was a very pleasant appointment to my surprise, and I strongly recommend this clinic to anyone needing to get their eyes checked.Good job ladies. After years of denial I went in for my first full eye test. This turned out to be one of the most enjoyable medical experiences I have had.....who likes going to the Dr" right? Don't hesitate to visit this clinic. Dr Chan is one of the most nicest

Dr. Chen was AMAZING with my 4 y.o and 2 y.o! She was able to conduct a FULL eye exam on both kids and had their attention and cooperation. Very thorough and so kind. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend Whitby Family Eye Care to anyone looking for a new optical office.

Timely, friendly, helpful. I completely forgot to bring my wallet for payment, and it was no problem, just completed my exam, ordered my glasses and called them later with my payment information. Of course, I am a return client, so they kind of know me.I do recommend them to anyone who needs eye care, very thorough.

Michelle is very efficient in doing 3 family members appointments ( especially with 2 of them being ASD ) at the same time . Great pricing on glasses and lenses. The only thing is I thought I was suppose to get an email of our prescriptions which I haven’t received yet . Otherwise excellent service!

Dr. Angel Chen is very professional, efficient, detail and clearly explaining for eye exam sessions. She also follows up and provides referral for specialist for abnormal situation to ensure patient with peace of mind. Highly recommended!!

I have to say that Dr. Chen is absolutely amaaaazing with kids. I have a 2.5 year old who freaks out at any appointment (or really around other adults trying to interact with him). She handled it so well and got down on his level and even though he was still crying, he was so much more cooperative than usual and was happy with his stickers and with Dr. Chen showing him/letting he touch some of the equipment she used for the eye exam. She made him feel so much more comfortable and the appointment went way better than I expected because of it.
