Yoga Shack

I love this place. I wish they had more non-heated options but really enjoy the classes nonetheless.

Like others have said, Lisa, the owner is frankly a terrible business woman. I had a wonderful experience in all my classes, the teachers were excellent and very helpful but unfortunately not even they can make up for their awful owner. I was hoping to suspend my membership (a very easy and reasonable request with other businesses) and when I reached out to talk to her, I got no response. I've called the studio and spoken with teachers who say she'll call me back, and still no call. To me, the only option now is to accept the loss of a $200 membership and warn others not to make the same mistake of going to this studio. I don't think she'll ever change based on the other reviews here, but maybe if it begins to impact her bottom line, she'll smarten up.

Agree with other reviews. I’ve been in the customer service business for many years and the owner of this establishment is not a good business person and lacks what I would consider good customer service.Would not recommend this studio and I will not be returning.There are so many studios in the city that treat people with respect and provide amazing customer service!I unfortunately do not find this to be one of them.

Polite staff, but the owner is rude, dismissive, and disregards her clients and her employees. Very poor communication skills, Lisa.

Going there(Wortley branch) was a strange experience. Small change room with no lockers so I was unable to actually change there at the end...went home in sweaty clothes. Although taping out the map space would be a good idea most of my neighbors were too close with the 6 inches between mats. They were on my mat, sweated on my mat and I had to be careful (as a tall person) not to kick the neighbor behind. I also suspect the ventilation for hot yoga is nonexistent. The instructor did not create any modifications or check in on form for anyone- likely as a) the instructors do not seem to be incredibly knowledgeable about the body and b) there were approximately 30 people shoved into a room the size of a living room. I have been in other much better yoga studios in town (Goodlife's new one is state of the art with proper air exchange downtown). I have never walked out of a yoga class angry but unfortunately that was the case with Yoga Shack. So much for the inner calm...

I have been going to the Yoga Shack off and on over the years since it opened an in Wortley. I have chatted with the owner over the years and I have received nothing but good communication from her. Herself and her staff has always been nothing but kind and genuine. Has handled issues within my account promptly and effectively. I would recommend both locations!! The energy within both locations is very soothing, healing and receiving. xo

Agrees with everyone that the instructors are nice but the system is terrible. Customer service is nonexistent. The website currently isn't working for me. I can't reserve classes even though I have an unlimited pass for the next month. And since no one's there to answer the phone, and their policy only allows for online reservations (i.e. you can't reserve in person) there's nothing I can do except wait for them to answer my email, which usually takes several business days.

This is my favourite yoga studio in London. The instructors bring their own flavour and make every class unique. Always a warm and welcoming vibe. Lots to challenge even advanced yogis! Love it.
