I visited the restaurant yesterday for the first I really liked everything about the food the atmosphere and especially our server Candice V. She was very nice from beginning to end I will. Be back soon. I ordered the pork chops mac&cheese also candy yams and for dessert I had the chocolate tower everything was delicious.

Waited at the counter for more than 5 minutes and nobody came to the window. As I looked over the menu, I hear a BUNCH of coughing. You know, by the sound, the cough was not a covered one. I don't know who it was because they were all in the back, but that was a BIG TURN-OFF. The other individuals that had already paid and were waiting all looked in disappointment. I walked away. Friends later went back and said the peach cobbler was watery and the green bean's were good. An easy NO for me!

Horrible. Avoid if you can. No dine-in service…carry out only (and still slow AF). The dark-skinned lady taking orders had a terrible attitude…they’re inconsistent with portion sizes and “smothered chicken” is basically fried chicken with gravy and onions poured on top. ONE short rib was $20. Very unorganized and ran out of food before 5pm on a Sunday! Smh a mess

I had dessert first. It was the caramel cake. Moist, caramel perfection! Then came the fried catfish, yams (sweetened with brown sugar), cornbread and dressing. My stomach couldn't be happier! The waitress was delightful. The chef came out and we had a friendly chat. It was a perfect way to wind down after a grueling day at work.Next time I go, I'm getting the turkey leg. The guy at the table next to me made his look amazing! The 7Up Pound Cake will be for dessert...

Urban Soul is the Best Great Tasting Food out there now. And Me & My Daughter go there All of the time too. And she Love their Baked Chicken, Dressing & Apple Cobbler too. And I Love their Really Tender Great Tasting Smothered Pork Chops, Pinto Beans with Rice, Greens & Yams too. And sometimes their Cornbread is Too Crumbly now. And Not as Tasty as it use to be now either.

I use to love the grilled pork chops with gravy and onions at Urban Soul. When I stopped eating pork I started getting the grilled chicken and it was just as good. Seasoned really well! Only downfall is that you better order early in the day because they will run out of the side or dessert you’ve been craving real quick! Overall food and service is always usually really good.Some foods to try:-Grilled Chicken Smothered in Gravy w/ Onions-Fried Catfish/Salmon-Grilled/Fried Pork Chops-All of their sides!!!-Peach Cobbler

Some of the food selections they did not have. I was looking forward to trying the greens, maybe next time. The Mac n Cheese needs a due over. Not flavorful at all. The peach cobbler was cold. Overall it wasn't bad butt I've definitely had better.

Worse experience today ever. Got seated fairly quickly. Waited for 20 minutes, no server. Finally some teenager came, took drink and food order from us. After 10 minutes, brought my son's Kool aid, said she was coming back with our waters, never showed. After 20 more minutes, we walked out. Totally unacceptable. I give credit where due. Food is excellent, however the service today for us was very poor. Upon expressing our displeasure when leaving, NO ONE tried to stop us or at least talk to us about our issue. They need to send their staff to professional training for restaurant servers instead of throwing a bunch of teenagers who are inexperienced.
