From sales to installation, the people of Granite City 1 are top-notch. They were friendly, responsive, and patient with our questions. The installation crew was careful and attentive to detail and did a good job with clean-up. Our kitchen remodel really took a step-up with these terrific quartz countertops -- thank you!

We live in the Lansing area and visited three of our local fabricating shops. Inventories at each place were limited so we decided to travel to the Grand Rapids and visit the larger slab shops to see more options. After visiting those shops, we happen to see the Granite City 1 location and decided to stop in………what a great decision that was!Jim greeted us and was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. He showed us the perfect slab of quartz for our bathroom remodel. The entire process from that point forward was professional and well managed. Their field person Jimmy spent a painstaking amount of time taking precise measurements with his high-tech equipment. A week later our countertops were installed by Jimmy and his crew. Everything could not have looked better. We are delighted with the results and will be back when we remodel our kitchen. Thank you Granite City 1!

Granite is stunning and Granite City was easy to work with. A few tips for newbies: remove items immediately underneath the countertop. I assumed there would be plywood or some sort of sub surface that remained from existing counter but that wasn’t the case and I had a huge mess to clean, dust,wood shards, nails... If I’d known I could have prepared in advance and avoid having to empty and clean contents of all the cabinets and drawers after the fact. I expected some damage from removal of single row of tile backsplash but didn’t expect wall to be destroyed. I was told at the template appointment they’d leave the tile behind the stove but that was carelessly removed also. I’m still very happy but wish I was better prepared. When install was complete I was asked to sign a form stating there was no damage. I don’t remember if it specified just granite damage or any damage… keep that in mind.

Seam? What seam?! The installation of our countertop is (practically) seamless! The people at Granite City were great to work with from the showroom to installation. We have used them for our masterbath, powder room and kitchen. We will never go anywhere else, because INSTALLATION MATTERS when you are investing in quality materials, and it's worth every penny not to see what we don't want to see!

Granite City did an excellent job of replacing my kitchen counters. They were friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. The process, which included making a template, CNC cutting the granite, and installation - was completed in just under a week. We are very pleased.

Since the day we stepped foot into Granite City 1, we were greeted with knowledge, respect and the fact that we would have an awesome kitchen by Jim and Teresa. We ventured out to one of those companies to see if there was something better. I wish I did not waste my time with any other vendors. Today, we had the counters installed and we were met with more knowledge and respect and great work quality by Jimmy and Floyd. They treated our house like it was their own. I would recommend this company to everyone because we had nothing but the best experience and we would rate 10 stars if we could. Thank you Granite City for giving me my white dream kitchen!

We were at the end of a project and desperately needed countertop as we were close to the install date. We had looked at over 15 places and just did not find what would work. Choosing countertop for a kitchen is both a personal process as well as choosing the right color and type either makes or breaks the project. At the last moment We called Granite City 1 as they are new to Grand Rapids but not new in the industry. Immediately Jim was eager to assist and even went above and beyond as I have some transportation issues due to a physical challenge. He came out shared options, we went back to the show room and found the perfect option.Not only did Granite City work with us but the turn around time from templating to install was incredible. The guys templated on a Wednesday and installed the next Monday!!! Overall we found Granite City 1 personable- they care about you and your project. As the need arises I will return. Thank you.

We contracted for two back-to-back jobs with Granite City 1 in Kentwood and what a first-class operation. They owned and managed the process with us through the entire project. There is no subcontracting, think of it as having your own project manager in-house from start to finish. Their crew are detail-oriented artists. Wait till you hear you do not have to buy a full slab(s) (just what you need) on their warehouse large and changing stock selection - that's huge!Have trust and confidence as we did and you will have an absolutely stunning look" at a very fair price-point I should add."

Granite City 1 was a fantastic company to work with and my wife and I highly recommend them.They were easy to work with on the front end of the project--Jim, at the Broadmoor location, was knowledgable, personable, and easy-going. The showroom gives an excellent variety of granite and quartz options. Scheduling and payment were made easy as well.During the measurement and install, the workers were fast but not rushed and worked very well.We've had the counters for a little over a week now and absolutely love them. I can't recommend GC1 enough for their customer service, prices, and quality.

These folks were great from initial discussion and planning with Taressa in the office to the installers (jimmy-head guy). They were extremely professional but very flexible as well. Living in another state and being able to pick a quartzite, holding it and then approving the layout that i wanted via remotely was done without a hitch. The day of install they were done in less than 4 hours and everything was installed to perfection. I highly recommend them.
