McDonald Beach Park

Love that it’s off leash for dogs and that it’s got a few good spots for dogs to enter the water without so many spots of sharp rocks. Lots of open spots as well for dogs to run and play and or children to enjoy as well. Lots of logs and bench’s to sit at as wellThe only thing I wish they offered was a spot to rinse your dog and yourself off from sand before getting back into your car after the beach

Wonderful area with a boat launch, off leash dog area, picnic tables, trail, grass area, fresh water, bathrooms and plenty of safe parking. Lots of kms along the river for pups of all sizes to run and play! Highly recommended!

Such a fun place yet so peaceful. One of the best off leash parks in the lower mainland for your dogs. The sandy beach, river walk and trails will make you come back here again and again. It’s on the way to Iona beach just before the Canada Post YVR Terminal.

Would rate 5 stars if they would fix the road/parking lot. There is a good amount of dirt/gravel road which always has potholes. Nothing that will ruin your vehicle, but it's bumpy. Lovely grass a d shade by the picnic tables, washrooms are clean. Dog friendly beach is separate yet close enough to enjoy after you finish with your picnic. Good length of trails for walks. Very clean and well maintained park.

Great place to bring your dogs, lots of trails to discover, huge sandy area to play fetch & of course the shoreline to throw sticks/balls/buoys etc into the river for your furbaby to swim. Just needs more picnic tables.

This place is amazing !! Such awesome views of the Fraser River and a great place to fish locally. There is a boat launch as well and a pay-by-the-day parking lot for the trailers and towing vehicles. Lots of regular parking also with nicely kept washrooms. There are picnic tables right on the causeway between the Boat-launch and the River. Some in shade and some in the sunshine. There is also a walking trail that runs along the River and its perfect for dogs to go for a swim and cool off.

It was wonderful. One the best place in Vancouver for being with yourself and turning off your brain.

I recently utilized the boat launch at McDonald's Park and had a mixed experience. While the location offers convenient access to the river, the boat launch itself is in need of dredging. It's advisable to avoid launching during super low tides as it could pose difficulties. On the positive side, the bathrooms were clean and there was ample parking available. I also appreciated the fact that the area was never too crowded. Once on the water, it was a pleasant 15-minute boat ride down the river to reach the mouth. Overall, while the boat launch could use some improvement, McDonald's Park remains a decent option for those looking to embark on a river adventure out to the ocean.

A great place for a long walk with the dogs and to meet other dog owners. Lots of parking and washrooms as well.Found a lovely tree swing too.
