Fascinating. How they connected the ocean with the inland sea of Cape Breton. Plus we had dinner at the Bras d' Or Lakes INN. Fantastic.

Lovely spot to visit and see some boats in the lock. Staff is outstanding friendly and add value to the visit. They’re very willing to tell what’s going on and how it works. Fantastic for kidss and adults.

It’s a working canal 9 months of out the year and you can see the boats coming and going. Staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. There’s a beach nearby and people were fishing and swimming in the canal. Very cool experience.

Great experience seeing how the canal works. Interesting history that I learned. Staff are super friendly and always willing to answer your questions. We were lucky to see three boats crossed thru the locks.

The St. Peters canal is a must see experience if you are in Richmond co. , you can stop and see the ships transit from the Atlantic Ocean to the Brasdore Lake , have a lunch at the well manicured lawns and picnik tables , just an amazing site!!

A very cool place to visit. Definitely chat up the lockmaster if you get a chance. It's one thing to read the placards posted along the canal but much more engaging to speak with someone that actually works there.
