Recently I came to Ivy to get a quote on getting my two wedding dresses altered. Ivys name was given to me by cottonwood bridal in Okotoks along with a few others. This process is all new to having never had anything altered before. When I came to Ivy, she seemed pleasant and knowledgeable, I asked that she quote my alterations prior to any commitments. After I told her what I needed done, some hemming, the bodice brought in on one and the hips brought in on the other, she quoted me $1400!!! To be honest I was a little in shock and didn’t know how to respond because I wasn’t expecting that at all! I called some family and friends and anyone I spoke to told me that that price was astronomical!! So I next went to Elly clothing who was also recommended by cottonwood bridal! She was so kind, got me in right away, and ended up quoting me $430 for THE EXACT SAME THING! I couldn’t even believe it. I messaged cottonwood bridal to let them know the situation and they said I was the third complaint they received and that she was removed from their recommendation list a week prior! I try not to leave harsh reviews but in this instance I want to try and prevent another newbie bride like me from being overcharged. I hope that Ivy will reconsider her decision to over price!

Not only did Ivy do an amazing job altering my husband's work pants, but she also was able to get them done a couple days early for a work trip. 10/10 would use her services again.

I had two suits and two shirts done there, her quality of work was excellent and she was very professional. I was very happy with her alterations and they are very sound. I would recommend her for any clothing.alterations you have in mind especially if you like your clothes fitting well.and looking good.

Owner is a tad rude and her prices are insane. But we were referred by Cottonwood Bridal and paid as Ivy was the number 1 recommended tailor on the list. Cut to trying on the altered dress and it was 1.5 inches too long. Had to have a basic hem redone by someone else.Don’t waste your time here.

I had two tweed suits fitted by Ivy. She did a great job taking them from good to great. I love them and the quality is excellent. The service was fast and efficient. She made good suggestions in my fitting and I am extremely happy with the final product.

Each time I came in to this place to drop off my wedding dress and to pick it up after the alterations were done I left feeling horrible. My wedding dress is fitted and each time I came into this business I was told I needed to workout and to go on a diet. I can not express enough how much damage hearing things like this can do to someone and their mental health especially this day and age with people with body image issues as well as eating disorders. After dropping off my wedding dress over a month prior I came in to pick up my clothes at the date and time on my receipt given to me only to find that not all of my items were finished and that I would have to go out of my way to come back to pick them up later in the day as it was forgotten when I was coming in to pick up my items. Although the alterations are completed well the customer service was atrocious for the amount of money spent to alter my clothes.

Ivy turned my dress from a zip up into a lace up. It wasn't too expensive, and she got it done in a matter of ten days. She was a pleasure to deal with, and I would use her again.

Ivy is such a sweetheart and did an amazing job on my wedding dress! We had a short time limit and she got it done quickly and professionally. I highly recommend!
