New Fuji

New restaurant by the Kingyo group. Loved the retro decor and the food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely come back for the fried udon!

Service was great! Very attentiveI will say we felt rushed 1.5 hour max limit on the table which was made aware many times. We weren’t close to going over. Food was hit and miss, star was the truffle corn. Lamb carpaccio was tasty but small, ebi mayo nothing special not much flavour, grilled duck was flavourless. Udon dishes were cool but not all were a hit. I recommend the soup udons.Okinawa cola was so strange no one liked itService 4.5/5Food 3/5

Incredible experience, and incredible food. Delicious modern takes on Japanese classics, and has a really cute aesthetic too.The only thing better than the food was how amazing the service is - the staff greet you emphatically at the door, and make you feel like family until beyond when you leave.The drinks are also really good! This place is going to become an incredible spot to go for any nice occasion, or even a typical day of wanting to feel comfortable and sophisticated. New favourite spot in Kits!

New Fuji is a new and trendy Japanese restraunt set with a cozy interior decorated with a number of 80s memorabilia and a decent selection of food and drinks. They offer primarily udon, meat sushi, and robata grilled meats paired alongside a stellar drink menu.We ordered the abalone cream butter yakiudon, the wagyu flakes chirashi and the wagyu sirloin heart. They were all spectacular, but I think the standout among them was the wagyu sirloin. It was supple in texture, and cooked to medium rare with a slight sweetness from the soy sauce.Moving on to the drinks, I found their menu to favour those with sweeter and fruitier palates, with the grapefruit gin and tonic being especially lovely. The strawberry sangria was nothing to write home about, but the strawberry mojito more than made up for it. Be sure to try out some of their drinks options!This was a fantastic dining experience at New Fuji. I will definitely be making another trip back as I feel this was only a small tasting of what New Fuji has to offer.

A lovely addition to the same family as Suika/Raisu/Kingyo/Rajio. Great service, very cool room, and delicious food.

Such a unique Japanese experience. My two favourite dishes were the mozza mentaiko carbonara udon and the scallops. The tiramisu parfait was also really amazing.Also tried the chicken dashi karaage, truffle corn karaage, duck breast nigiri and long yukhoe sushi.

A brand new 1980's theme Japanese restaurant that just open up last week. No big surprise the place was super pack for a Friday night so you have to make reservations in advance. Overall the service is really well done where the servers try their best to make sure your enjoying yourself and I felt the Japanese food server definitely has a interesting different vibe to compare to most other Japanese restaurant in the area. Would recommend and come again.

We came on the 5th day they opened and all the food we ordered was very tasty and executed well! My favourites were the udon and corn karaage. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Waiting to go back to try more different udons and the lava cake dessert! The only negatives I can mention are that I felt the zucchini dish wasn't quite worth the price and that this restaurant doesn't have air conditioning so on a really hot day it might feel uncomfortable BUT they do have fans blowing.

I had a wonderful dinner at New Fuji yesterday. I had walked by earlier this week and peeked inside at the gorgeous interior behind the bar. I was surprised to learn that they only opened this past Sunday because it was quite busy. The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented and I have no doubt that I'll come back for more! We particularly loved the duck carpaccio and snow crab yakiudon.
