Buccaneer Inn

What a cute place to stay. We had access to walking distance to the Harbour. Restaurants close by & the owners are kind & helpful. If you're looking for location, cleanliness & affordability I recommend this motel.

I have never stayed at Buccaneer Inn as I live in Nanaimo. However Dave & Marlene are amazing! They are family I thought I would leave a review saying so! Anyone coming to Nanaimo needing a place to stay give the Buccaneer Inn a go!

Wow! Totally unexpected. The mini suite was perfect, very clean, cozy. The matress, bedsheets, pillows were heavenly (smelled so clean). Best sleep we had, didn't want to get out of bed. Someone has a lot of attention to details making this place great. Thank you so much for your service ❤️ and amazing price!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is great, as the ferry terminal is only 5 mins away and access to major routes is quick and easy. Despite the motel being on a main road we did not hear any traffic noise. Yes, the motel is older, but everything was in very good condition and the place was super clean (cleaner than some 4/5* hotels we have stayed in). The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. There is no aircon, however, the bedroom had a ceiling fan and the living area was provided with 2 very quiet stand fans. Overall we would happily stay here again.

Even though the property is older, the rooms were super clean. Couldn't even find a speck of dust. The service was awesome. Front desk staff had solutions for my early check in and late bus departure. Also a short walk from the ferry terminal so very convenient.

This place is very clean and has the most comfortable beds! The location is perfect and has a beautiful view on the harbour. The hosts are really nice and friendly. They have everything you need in the room: tea, coffee and various utilities. The rooms are also odor free so you don’t need to worry about that. I really recommend this place if you are interested in visiting Nanaimo!!

Stay was great. For us it was just a bed to sleep in and then off we went early the next morning. Service was great, very very clean. Very nice place to stay.

This motel is so cute and SO clean. I stayed here on a work trip, and someone from my company arranged the stay. I was a bit worried, because I'm a chain hotel girly, but I was WRONG. It was maybe 1000x clener than the chain hotel I stayed at the night prior, you could tell that the owners took cleanliness and Covid safety super seriously, and it was a great night stay and a great sleep.I cannot reiterate enough that the room was flawlessly clean. The person at the front desk was lovely when we checked in, the location was very cool and convenient, and the view and from the front windows was lovely. The motel's actual fixtures are on the older side, but I would personally rather old fixtures if they're going to be sparkling clean like they were. Everything worked, the linens were lovely, will DEFINITELY stay again next time I'm in town
