I must say I am shocked to see any bad reviews for this salon. I have been going here for years and have had nothing but great service. Alain is very talented and kind, I would definitely recommend them! I have had my hair done by the female at the salon also and never had any issues either, I will continue to keep coming back for my hair colouring and cuts, thanks for your hard work Alain manalo salon!!

The lady was very friendly, but the haircut left much to be desired. I also wonder if she is actually qualified- since as I paid I saw Alain’s certifications on the wall, but nothing for her.I asked for my hair to be thinned, but I believe thinning shears weren’t used. Chunks are missing from the underside - and I am barely able to have my hair in a pony tail without it being extremely visible, and any styling other than straight is impossible.Also, the lady kept dropping her styling tools on the floor - and picked them up and continued using them. No sanitizing.I went to the salon due to the high amount of good reviews online - but wasn’t impressed.I don’t believe I’d attempt a second try!

Found Alain and Kevin thru google reviews and was not disappointed, I have fine straight hair, wear it short and every cut shows. Was so impressed will likely drive down from Halifax for future cuts. Professional, comfortable clean atmosphere (like the music too). Cheers boys. Linda

The female hairdresser clearly did not know how to cut female hair. No wash to start. I had product in my hair so she stopped cutting and washed my hair half way through the cut. I showed a picture of the style I wanted, indicating I didn't want it too short. She began and cut very short, leaving the back long on my neck. I repeatedly told her not so short but she said she was blending. Three quarters the way through, I told her to simply stop cutting. I will get the mess fixed up by a professional. I left very upset. My hair is a mess.

Don’t get your haircut here unless you’re sure it’s going to be done by Alain. Nothing but pure incompetence and lack of English led to quite possibly the worst haircut I’ve ever had. Completely under qualified female who works there left my scalp red and itchy, my face full of hair and buzz-cut my head after somehow missing me tell her countless times to keep the top long. I even went as far as to show her a picture of my previous hairstyle but she thought a side fade meant to buzz and fade my entire head! A bit hard to correct flaws when your eyes are full of hair and you can’t see. Easily ruined the next few weeks of my life by utter incompetence and lack of basic listening skills. Avoid this place like the plague if you want a haircut, could only recommend it to people enlisting in the military.

Wonderfully talented hair aficionados! Amazingly good prices, professional attitudes and an impressive ability to give you a great cut and style tailored to fit! So impressive! Highly recommend this friendly, family-run establishment! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The foils I paid more than 300 dollars for were a sham! I told Alain that the ends would not be the same colour as the rest of the hair strand the way he was doing it and it wasn't; he said it was like a Balayage but that was far from what I wanted! My hair looked awful, the ends were burnt, colour only at the ends of some of the foils"

Great place very friendly , quality hair cuts as well . My new favorite spot actually.

This is a fantastic salon. Always very clean. The staff are lovely and you always get what you want in your hairstyle. They are most definitely adhering to the coronavirus directions. Feel very safe going here in these tumultuous times. I highly recommend this salon!!!
