HSBC Bank

I’m a long time HSBC premier client. I live in downtown Toronto and my home branch is York Street head office. I work during the week and the head office is not open during saturdays.I went to HSBC branch at 3636 Steeles Ave East and wanted to open up a RRSP account for my joint account holder last Saturday Nov 21. The senior premier manager Martin Ma 馬天宇 first try to discourage us to open up the account by saying the promotion for mutual fund has ended. I explained to him that we do not want to buy mutual fund. We only want to buy GIC. Then he asked us to contact our relationship manager whom is at downtown head office. I explained to him that we really would like to open up the account that day. My joint account partner did not bring her SIN and we made an appointment twitch him at 1pm Nov 29 the following Saturday.When we showed up on Nov 29 around 12:20pm he claimed our appointment was at 10 am. We are absolutely positive our appointment is at 1 pm. He said he is busy seeing his client and asked us to come back around 3:30pm. The branch closes at 4 pm and he later said his client might not even finished with this client by 3:30pm.We are very disappointed by the whole experience and after 2 weeks with appointment we still cannot get an account opened.

No Customer service at all!! We waited for 10 mins in line, and they told us we cannot open an account at counter. They asked us to go upstairs to their office. Again, we were asked to wait for 15-20mins and they said they are all busy. Rude staff. Bad experience. Never go there again.

Slow service. Seems nobody is actually working there. Also, treat customers like they are criminals. For the smallest things they get all paranoid. Very bad experience to deal with this branch.

unprofessional mortgage specialist both in expertise and dedication. Have no idea of the amount of mortgage I can take. no further feedback after Pre-approve mortgage application. Even did not share a business card.

no envelopes to make deposits- came back 2 years after no envelopes - no envelope bin.

Thanks to Kathy at this branch.She is curteous and friendly and very helpful. Very good customer service.Although this is the first time I drop by this branch, the customer service provided by Kathy is excellent.

Horrible customer service. Went there on a Friday and was telling the teller I need to talk to one of their advisor and will call the advisor on Monday at 10 AM. She said she would let the advisor know and message has been sent. called on Monday at the same time, no one pick it up. Finally tried another extension and was told that the advisor had been relocated to another branch ... How's it possible the teller wouldn't know the advisor's no longer there and lied all about the message and stuffs?! Will never bank with this bank!!

Great customer experience! Well trained staff that are warm hearted and ready to help. Tellers are friendly and also knowledgable in their products.Hard working branch that I trust with my finances!

Staff are great, nice small branch. Word of advice though, DO NOT GO IN THAT PARKING LOT. It is pure hell. For sanity, park at the huge cathedral just east and walk across the street.

Amazing service. Went in for a mortgage approval. They were busy but they were so accommodating and tried to help in any way they can. The branch manager was super helpful .
