Was super easy to get my taxes done. Very friendly and helpful, also there was good distancing measures taken. I didn't even have to bring anything with me....they were great!

It took two weeks for them to complete me and my husbands tax returns. After they finally finished they needed us to come back in to look at a few things, and they said I was going to owe money. I'm a slightly unique situation... I'm an American, and worked in the US last year, but I'm living up here. Apparently an American living in Canada is so rare that none of their tax professionals were trained on how to deal with our taxes. When my husband and I went in to look over our returns, they said I was going to owe the Canadian government almost $1,000 (even though my income was pretty low). After asking them about something I had heard about (the foreign income tax credit), the man looking over our return went and asked someone else, and after spending ten minutes chatting with another tax professional came over and said I was right and that I didn't owe anything! It's a good thing I asked!So after this they submitted our tax returns, and we left. About a month and a half later I received a notice in the mail that there was an issue with my tax return... The people at H&R Block entered the wrong date for when I immigrated to Canada and therefore screwed up my HST/GST. I called them up about two weeks ago and the lady said she would look into it and call me back, but I still haven't heard from her. I'm going to call again today and see if she's figured it out, and if she hasn't I'm going to do it myself. This is frustrating.

Unprofessional and does not do their job. Make sure if you waste your time doing taxes with this place that they ACTUALLY FILE YOUR TAXES. They will not update you or contact you. They will leave your taxes unfiled and not say a word until you have spent multiple days and phone calls chasing them down for absolutely no results. A disgusting excuse of a professional business and my family will never be filing our taxes here again.

If I could give less than one star I would, I am a first time business owner filing my taxes and wasn't sure of everything I would need. At first dealing with polly she was very accommodating and helpful, but I never just got a list of all the information I needed to give, it was in little bits here and there and ended up being very confusing, I apologized and explained it was my first time. I started filling at the beginning of September before the 5th and then 2 weeks went by where my emails were ignored asking about what I should do next, I was then passed into Liz on the 28th to try and get things finished last minute. I was asked for more information and never received any confirmation as to if they got any of it. I had tried calling and emailing multiple times with no answer, I then had to go into the location, refill out all of my information, then was charged $250 for filing them. I explained what had happened over the past month was laughed at and was answered with yeah well that happens" the lady I delt with last at the front desk was very nice and helpful but after all of this I would rather owe much more than I did then have to be put through the stress and inconvenience of dealing with this branch again."

*** I want to say this is just for this location not the company as a whole ***Found out this year after going to another location that they didn't actually file my taxes for 3 years. My husband and i used this location for 3 years to file our taxes. I signed all the forms just as if i was filing so i thought i was filing. When we went to a different locations the first thing they asked is why i haven't filed for 3 years. I can not even tell in the receipt we received each of those years if we payed for the service since it is lacking details. Needless to say im pissed off im having to possibly pay for 3 years of taxes again with no way to know if i payed for it before.

I am very unhappy with the lack of empathy that this location has for people. I said before I filed my taxes with them, I cant afford anything. I need a clean cut number on what I will pay and if its a penny more I cant do it at that time. I was comfortable with the amount quoted, I was contacted after the File was complete that I was mis Quoted....Pardon me? My main concern was the price and now its more? Cute considering they have a website that allows you too file on your own for free....I filled out the stupid drop off form correctly. I understand human error happens but that should come out of the companies pocket not mine. Good thing I havent payed yet, they will be waiting a while.

Went in for personal and business taxes. Was told it would take one week. After waiting a week and a half, called to see what was going on, was told they put my taxes on the back burner"

My appointment was on time as usual. Salwa has been doing my taxes for years as usual she's so efficient and always pleasant. Thank you.

This location is beyond disorganized. They LOST my taxes and I only found out after calling them to cancel my return (and file with someone else). They said they’d get back to me… they didn’t. I had to go in person, wait for an hour for the official answer of “we have no idea where it is”. Rest assured, they said they were going to find all my papers and file them ASAP. It took a month and I still paid and arm and a leg.
