Got sat at exactly 5pm on a Wing Wednesday night at Maude Hunters'.Highlights (just my opinion):Nice little patio seatingFriendly staffReasonable pricesGreat flavours for wings on wing night (got Honey Hot)I had the beef dip; it was a regular beef dip, nothing too memorable, could have used a bit more beef closer to the end tips of the sandwich. The fries were something I wanted to try, seasoned (which was nice and thoughtful), but unfortunately got a little top salty (and I love my salt).The wings were really good though, picked Honey Hot, which was a right balance of heat and sweetness (I usually get medium spice in ethnic restaurants) for me.Husband's chicken burger didn't have too thick of a batter, and reasonable size which looked good. The pickle was a nice touch.Service I really liked, redeemed for the fries and my beef dip- checked in on us, we didn't have to wait too long for beverage refills!The place had a nice ambience, local pub-style, had full seats indoors once we were leaving after 6pm.

Food here was very good. Simple burger, fries but done right. Burger tasted like it was fresh ground beef. Waitress was attentive but not overly so. Prices were good, atmosphere chill and a good age range (20s to 60s). We haven't been here in years and will be making more of an effort to get out here again in the future.

A main stay in Victoria. Bright friendly atmosphere that attracts local university folks and people of all ages alike. As a bonus, I'm plant based and really appreciate the fully separate plant based menu. Recommend the PB&J burger. Awesome peanut sauce mixed well with the heat of Jalapenos and crispy onions. Staff are lovely, drink prices are reasonable, and if you're into sports, there a lot of large tvs to watch the games.

The food and drinks were good, but unfortunately we had a negative interaction with the service staff. As a service worker myself, I never leave bad reviews, although this interaction was especially poor. We ordered a half order of poutine, which the server did not write down. We received a full order, and explained that we had ordered a half order. The server seemed quite exasperated with our saying this and stated that it would take a while to make another". We said it was fine

In Victoria, everyone knows Maude's Pub. Great food, beer is cheaper than almost anywhere. Service is decent. Good Vibe.

I love it here. The staff is super friendly, but in a genuine way. The food is surprisingly good for a pub, and I mean that with respect, and the price is arguably the cheapest in Victoria? I love eating here, I love drinking here, I love coming for trivia nights. I’m just glad I live close by so I can come often, such a great place

Really enjoyed this place on my visit to victoria. I was having a rough day and kind of an unpleasant visit to the island in general, and decided to cope healthily with it on my last day there by getting incredibly drunk. Ended up at Maude Hunter's, a pub-ish lil place. The bar itself was clean, and the bartender, Sam, was a good conversationalist with both myself and the other lonely drunks who populated the bar proper. It was, oddly, and maybe depressingly, one of the highlights of the trip. 10/10, would cry in my beer with friendly company again!

FYI they are “not a sports bar”. There will be no audio for any sports games. General manager is pretty aggressive. Menu looks good though! Lots of veggie options. Tough to recommend a visit based on staff members attitudes :(

Just had Rikki as a server... Worst service I've ever had at this place. Order drinks that never came, wanted more wings... She never came back around, asked for the bill and that took 31mins to arrive. She did how ever return to the table empty handed and decided to finally serve the table next to us that had been waiting longer than we did for our bills. The place wasn't packed and had what looked like plenty of servers standing at the bar. Only people I saw that had to wait for a table was a large party of 10. Would rate it lower but the wings were decent. Would have liked a second order and a second beer... Guess back to one of the dozen of other places that serve wings.

The food was reasonable in quality, the portions weren't very large I left hungry for the price I paid. The wait was a half an hour to get a table. The food was served in a timely fashion.After the food hit the table the service declined substantially. We were left alone a little too long some of our people at the table wanted more drinks.I would go back.Maybe I'll try a larger meal next time.
