School House Teaching Supplies

Fantastic educational store I stumbled upon while on vacation a couple of years ago. I was greeted by a friendly staff who asked me if I needed help finding anything. When I said I was looking for French resources, I didn't expect to walk into a huge selection of quality resources! They had many from Quebec and other Francophone regions, not just the same ones you'd find in big chain stores. I spent quite a bit of time browsing, and bought several useful items. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and obviously takes pride in having quality resources available. Absolutely amazing little gem in Victoria!

Super friendly staff.Store is well organized, and offers two floors of extensive merchandise.One of my favourite sections of the store is the reading / picture books section.Online orders really expedite shopping.

The owners are tremendously helpful. They and their staff know the products they sell and can point you to materials for any learning objective. They have ordered items for me that are not on the shelves and stay current with BC scope changes. They take suggestions from educators and homeschooled families and their stock reflects this. So glad they are in my hometown!

Teachers: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING A BOOK FAIR WITH SCHOOLHOUSE!Our independent school was exceptionally happy with our first time experience hosting a School House book fair. Lovely, the owner, was extremely communicative and flexible leading up to the book fair. When she and Ashley arrived the day before to set up, they brought everything they needed and more! All books, teacher resources, posters, payment systems, tables etc.They were completely self-contained and did not require any help from myself or other school staff to set up or takedown, which, as busy teachers (in the heart of report card season), was a big relief! Ashley and Lovely were so warm, kind, personable, and thoughtful. Parents, children and educators appreciated tapping into their help and wealth of knowledge during the book fair itself. They brought such an upbeat energy from start to finish of our experience with hosting them.From now on, we won’t go anywhere else for our book fairs. We have been blown away by the ease of working with the Schoolhouse team. The cherry on top is that they also give the school the best percentage of sales back to the school compared to their competitors. We were thrilled to work with such amazing people and were so pleased to support local as well.

Everything was extremely easy and it was so wonderful not having to look for volunteers to help. They did it all! A very positive experience rekindling your school day nostalgia as well as a vast selection of books for children. Be prepared to immerse yourself and enjoy the throwback ride, don't be shy to ask for help to put things in perspective.

Excellent selection, unique and a wide variety. Just when you think you've seen everything there are two more rooms behind the cashier.Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Good warm vibes.
