Sadly ending a 30+ year relationship with the Marina. They were always reliable until new ownership took over. The last time they serviced our boat, the mechanics neglected to tighten the filler screws on the lower unit. Unit filled with water resulting in a catastrophic failure.To back up a little, clientele in Muskoka are generally well healed and regularly trade boats for new ones. That is not how we roll. Our boat has been impeccably maintained and served us well for 30+ years. Lucky if it sees 10hours per summer use. The last couple of years, the mechanics have been finding faults that do not exist and pushing us to buy a new boat. Appears their negligence will bring their dreams to reality. Because of their actions over the past couple of seasons, I took the boat to a very talented and honest third party mechanic. I have seen the damage caused by SWS errors and approached them to help with the bill. Only response was a flat NO because I didn’t t take the most recent failure to them. Why would I when they clearly were only interested in selling a new boat?? Sad end to a good relationship.

I had taken the 1956 Chris Craft out for its maiden journey this year. The boat conked out on the lake and was towed over to SWS on the Muskoka lake side. Scott came out checked the engine. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it with a new part. Scott was great knew what he was doing and fixed it with no fuss or muss and we were on our way to enjoy the rest of the day.
