We definitly recommend this experience upon your arrival in Jasper. We did a half day at Pyramid Lake. Not only did we enjoy being alone on this magical lake, but we mostly appreciated discovering the local wildlife and history thanks to Mike! He shared his passion and knowledge with us, which positively impacted the next few days we had in Jasper! Thank you for this amazing memory!

I booked a canoe tour and it was so amazing that I am still speechless. The Pyramid Lake is so beautiful and Mike is a pretty cool guide! It was so much fun and I can highly recommend it!

Wonderful experience on the guided public trip on pyramid lake. Unfortunately we didn't see any spectacular wildlife, Mike made the trip a great experience (he is one of the three founders running WCO). He really thought of everything: blankets for occasional rain, binoculars, cake, fruits, tea, hot chocolate for the brake. Nothing there to improve, he even picked us up from the hotel without us asking first. Would definitely book again and perhaps look at the 3 day adventure they have posted on the website

Fantastic trip, highly recommended! The lake we originally planned to go on was frozen but Mike was easy to get in touch with and rearranged it at our convenience. It was a beautiful handmade canoe which was very well equipped. Mike's guiding was fantastic and we saw a variety of wildlife. He had even arranged refreshments including taking into account dietary requirements. The scenery was breathtaking and we would recommend this tour to anyone in the area.

Absolutely incredible experience! It is a beautifully run family owned adventure excursion and you could not get a better experience than what we had!I poorly planned our travel distance and we were much further away prior to our morning launch that what we initially planned for. We were rushing and scrambling to figure out how to get there and it was looking bleak for us - to our surprise Mike ( our guide) told us to just get there safely, adjusted the time, and met us a little later in the day.The experience itself is unparalleled! Our guide showed us the most stunning views on the lake, the wildlife, and a really incredible beach at the far end of the lake. We were treated with local bakery snacks and lemon-aid.The pictures give a slight glance into how truly memorable the scenery was. We also truly appreciated that it was dog friendly and all of us had a truly unforgettable time.So grateful for the experience and CAN NOT recommend this more than enough; you will , like us, be filled with the joy and happiness that this trip lives in our spirits forever! Mike was the most amazing guide and this was the highlight of our trip in Jasper!-lifesachase

Had to cancel trip due to weather. Mike and the staff were terrific with handling the cancellation and crediting the trip. Also took the time to suggest things to do in and around town during the rain. Very professional company - highly recommended.

We had a truly fantastic experience with Mike at Wild Current. I highly recommend Wild Current's guided canoe tours and am so glad we booked this while we were visiting Jasper. Our tour was in Sept 2017, and the weather was a little unpredictable, but Mike reached out to us in advance to suggest a later departure due to the temperature, and had plenty of blankets and rain gear in case we needed it. Mike was so kind and knowledgeable, providing information on Pyramid Lake and local history, answering all our questions, pointing out wildlife (we saw a bald eagle, muskrat and several elk) and providing lots of recommendations (he even drew a map to guide us where we might see moose and other wildlife during the rest of our trip...because of him we saw several moose!) The canoe trip was so enjoyable, incredibly scenic and even included a break with hot drinks and a variety of delicious snacks. The handcrafted cedar canoe was a true work of art and added to the entire experience. We thought about renting a canoe on our own, but I'm so glad we opted to do this instead. Even with all the great hiking and sightseeing we did, we will remember this as one of the highlights of our trip.

Wow, what an experience! Though the weather was a bit challenging, we had a great trip and spotted a family of loonies, a bald eagle, and several birds. Though we didn’t see a bear on the canoe trip, we did driving back into town lol. Mike was a fun, personable host and he even brought us snacks and hot chocolate/coffee! Absolutely recommend.

What an incredible experience with Mike from Wild Current. We had a guided canoe trip on Pyramid Lake in late October, and it was simply stunning! Not only was the scenery incredible - but Mike's genuine wonder at the surroundings made the trip perfect. Mike did a great job pointing out landmarks, teaching us about wildlife, and sharing stories and history. After he found out we were birders, Mike helped us identify birds, too! The hand-built canoe was beautiful, and every detail was intentional - binoculars, blankets, delicious snacks, hot chocolate. We will 100% (1000%) come again if we make it back to Jasper. Highly recommend Wild Current and Mike.
