Their beautiful patio by the river is magical. We very much enjoyed their food (pizzas are amazing) and drinks (good selection of beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic options). Andrew is passionate about his job and you can tell. From greeting us outdoors when we were undecided, to solving a problem we had with one of the dishes, talking to us about things to do in Elora… He deserves all the credit for the fantastic experience we had at La Fontana. I’d give it 10 starts if I could. Thanks Andrew!

Went on Mother’s Day without a reservation and they were happy to accommodate our party of three. Food was excellent and large enough for us all to take home a meal for the next day. We had the warm olives to start with bread. Delicious! Our entrees were a hot and honey pizza, pasta with caramelized onions and cream sauce, pasta with sausage, peppers, and ricotta cheese sauce. All were very flavourful, served hot, and definitely worth a another visit. All staff were friendly and very pleasant. Made to feel very welcome. Nice location and good view of the river.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic river view from the covered patio! Had the Red Alert pizza (always gotta order a command and conquer reference) and while it wasn't as hot as some diavolas I've had, it had nice kick and the ingredients were great. Crust is crispy and delicious. Andrews service was by far the best I've had in Elora in many years. Next time I'm trying the fresh pasta. This place is a HUGE improvement over the establishment that was there before it!

This was one of the best Italian food experiences for us in all of Ontario. The ingredients were fresh and all the food that we ordered was excellent. Right from the tomato and burrata to the mushroom pizza and the spinach pappardelle pasta. My husband commented that he felt he was back in Italy.

We had an excellent late dinner at la fontana the ambience was wonderful they had live music which was beautiful, we sat on the patio by the water (deck) the warm olives was delicious a must have, the pizza was pretty good a bit bland. The carrot cake was also pretty good. Servers were friendly and good arrived promptly. We will be returning!

My wife and I have been here 3 times in 2 years. Elora is a great little destination to visit. We really enjoy their pizza. The dough is what the pizza is all about and it's delish!!

The food and service was very good. I would definitely go back but, the reason for 4 stars not 5 is that the music was much too loud. I'm not sure what music service (if any) is being utilized but we heard everything from country to metric. I asked for it to be turned down as one member of our party has severe post concussion issues. It was, then the music seemed to get a bit louder again. May I suggest that for an Italian restaurant of what I believe is fairly high caliber, just some background conversation" music would be in order."

Quaint restaurant with great ambience and good food. The patio is very beautiful that sits along the river bank. Food wise, the pizza dough is really tasty though I appreciate the food to be a bit less sweet. The arugula salad is my personal favourite here: fresh, well balanced and generous in size.

The pizzas are excellent! Gorgeous place and good service. Highly recommend! Probably one of the best restaurants in Elora.
