The pizza definitely lives up to the buzz! It was the best item we ordered, I appreciate a thin crispy crust, good sauce /topping/crust ratio. Was not a big fan of the pappardelle funghi.

Great experience. Real Italian restaurant. Real pizza, not those American pizza. Love the gelato and espresso. Friendly services. Surely feel 100% back to normal after pandemic. Love it !! We will come back soon.

I was invited to Via Mercanti by my friend. It is her favourite restaurant especially since she is a pizza lover. It was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely and the service top notch. The owner came over a few times which was a nice touch and there was live music playing. A very rare occurrence. It was worth the drive to Woodbridge. Looking forward to going back.

Amazing food!! The eggplant Parm and mushroom risotto literally melt in your mouth. The service was also great, friendly and speedy. Also like to highlight love how spread out the restaurant is instead of being extremely stuffed with tables next to each other. Would definitely come back again. Extremely suitable for vegetarians as well.

Via Mercanti is a nice Italian place but nothing extraordinary. The food was tasty and just average.We ordered fried mozzarella balls and Caprese salad as our apps. They were okay tasting, simple, and rather plain. For our meals we had a Margherita pizza, mushroom pasta, and Alfredo penne. Both pastas were bland and we had to ask for salt and pepper to spice them up. They were sold out of the dessert we wanted (cheesecake) so we ordered the Italian ricotta cake instead. It was very tasty!The ambiance was okay, but there were 2 large functions (showers) taking place right next to us and the separators were just small, decorative, metal dividers so it was VERY noisy and chaotic. We were there to celebrate our anniversary so a little more intimate would have been nice.We mentioned the occasion when making reservations and they made absolutely no mention of it throughout our meal. Just a little thing that would have made the outing feel special" and the restaurant memorable. We likely will not return."

Very good place for pizza and pasta.We came here for a party. We ordered a whole bunch of appetizers including Pizza which were really good.Most of my friends ordered the steak which was prepared nicely. Pasta the dishes were awesome.Decent wine selection especially in the $50 range per bottle.I would definitely consider coming back here for a casual dinner or lunch. I still think that pizza is one of the better items on the menu.Nice casual place.

We have come a few times to this place, however today my husband was a it disappointed ☹️ he ordered the same appetizer he ordered last time which was Salsiccia E Friarielli antipasto it is Rapini with a sausage on top, last time he enjoyed more the rapini than this time. My daughter ordered Arancino de Riso and she enjoyed it a lot. I ordered Calamari Alla Marinara which it was good and we also ordered two pizzas are normally their pizzas are good! We ordered Bufalina pizza which is mozzarella de Buffalo and Prosciutto and the other pizza was Patate E Pancetta, which is potato with pancetta. It was ok my daughter loves potato pizza but she didn’t enjoy this one as much.

A friend’s birthday party was here, had a good time. For the table we ordered these mozzarella bites which were fantastic, and were gone a little too quickly! That’s what happens to good food, though. For my entree, I got a pizza with potato and bacon on it. It was also very good, everything about it was what I expected. Price was alright, and I thought the service could have been better. I felt they took a little too long to clear out the table of dirty plates.

Not sure if it’s the location or we haven’t been for a long time but the food wasn’t as good as we remember it to be. Ordered the ravioli and it tasted bland and the pasta was quite undercooked. The hostess seemed quite frazzled and didn’t seem to know how to handle a larger group, and was a bit rude as well, but the wait staff was really nice and polite. I don’t think we would return back here next time. Might try to Kensington location one more time to see if it’s an overall drop on quality or just this location.
