I am new in Kamloops and have not actually been to the gallery. That said a big shout-out to the staff that called me to let me know an event was cancelled due to weather.I had called a bit earlier same day to ask if it was still a go, due to the snow. It was a go and as I was 4 min into my 40 min walk to attend they called me back. I look forward to the rescheduling of Make your own FLAR poster.ShannonL

They have a ten year retrospective of their exhibitions on at the moment. This gallery is a credit to the city of Kamloops. It is as good as any gallery you might visit in larger cities.A really enjoyable afternoon spent here.

Posting April 2018. Currently there is an interactive exhibit, where you go in and draw a floor plan of any place you've lived in before, from memory only. There is a few couches in the back and a record player with a few LPs to listen to. A few books too. Thursdays are always free to the public, I will be bringing in my records every Thursday to listen and enjoy the art for the next few weeks.......

Nicely curated art gallery, small but well worth a visit. Gallery store sells Canadian artist and design work. Excellent place to visit and grab a coffee / snack at the coffee shop.

I dropped in to the Art Gallery the other day on a whim and was blown away by the experience. It featured the Lawren Harris exhibition and it was just the antidote to this extreme fire season here in B.C. Very professional and very uplifting. Thanks to all the staff for doing such a good job!

The exhibitions I've been lucky enough to see have been truly incredible. The staff are incredibly friendly passionate and helpful. I am truly very impressed every single time I go see an exhibit.

I was visiting during my holidays, and had the most wonderful experience at the Kamloops Art Gallery. Not only did the manager engage in conversation with me, the rest of the staff were amazing and knowledgeable. Everyone was so friendly. The exhibits were well-organized, and helped inspire my next few art projects. Definitely recommend.

There are nowhere near 3000 works on display. More like 60 - 1 medium sized gallery with the works of one artist, a display by another artist and about 30 works by children. I enjoyed the art and with a $5 admission fee I can’t really complain. But don’t expect to spend more than 30-45 minutes here. Even the admissions associate was surprised when I told her internet search results (including a description ostensibly from the gallery itself) said there were 3000 works. This is quite misleading if they’re not actually on display.
