Was the best trip of my life!!!

This was, hands down, the best guided fishing trip I have ever been on. Breck is a first class, knowledgeable fishing guide and a skilled, responsible boat captain. His calm demeanor set the tone for a relaxing voyage out where we had a full sea life tour of birds, seals, a giant pod of dolphins and a couple humpbacks while we sampled his personally smoked salmon. The day quickly turned to nonstop hootin and hollering as we hit Coho after Coho until we reached our limit, pulled in a nice Chinook and a lunker Halibut! We then pulled up the prawn and crab traps full of more tasty treasures. All of this with time to soak in one of the few cliffside hotsprings and look over the ocean as we finished the last few beers and let the days events sink in. It was a perfect day. Long story long, we have fish for the year, the rate was reasonable, the boat is comfortable and beyond safe and if you want to have fun, Breck is your guide. Thanks to Discovery Coast Adventures for a day we'll never forget.

The number they have posted is not their number. It belongs to my 12 year old child and they refuse to update their number. So my 12 year old is constantly getting bothered all hours of the day. Seriously disgusted they refuse to update their number in order for my under age child to stop being harassed.

Nice area but fix the hill dangerous and I have driving commercially for 45 yrs.

I arranged a one-day marine charter with Discovery Coast Adventures a couple of weeks in advance, and I was very impressed with the plan we worked out. But when I got to Bella Coola, I found out that the captain had left on another multi-day job and was out of contact. I never heard back from him, and at that point it was too late to arrange another charter.So I recommend being cautious about whether or not they honour their commitments.

By far the best fishing guide in Bella Coola. We have been using Brek for 4 years now and have never been disappointed. He is honest, gives a fair rate (saved us a lot of money from our previous guide) always has a good time and is more than just a fishing guide. He knows the area very well, took us halibut and salmon fishing and we also set and pulled crab, and prawn traps too! We have seen dolphins, eagles, whales (numerous types), and bears (both black and Grizzly) on our trips. His boat is very comfortable and very safe and we would recommend him to anyone. Top notch company!!

Don't do business with the guide Brek, he doesn't keep his commitments or return calls, very flakey and unreliable. Terrible communicator and inconsiderate of others unless its to his benefit. Not dependable, again very disappointed with my experience working with Brek.
