Calgary Gymnastics Centre

The facility is beautiful and the instruction is great, however, I feel that the programs are overfilled and there are too many groups on the gym floor at once. There is way too much noise and stimulation going on (at least for any toddler I have met!) to be able to focus and listen to their instructor (or parent for that matter, my daughter could not hear me trying to instruct her while I was right next to her). I would think the competitive program may be better, however this is not the place to introduce your mini's to a classroom environment or even make friends of the same age, classes are more of a wrestling match/free for all at this age. Unfortunately the organization does not offer any sort of free trial class or cancellation period the way most other places do, so if you find this is not a good fit for your child, you are out $200 bucks!

I have a three and five year old in rec gymnastics at the Calgary Gymnastics Centre and I love the coaches and the attention they pay to all the children in their classes. This is the first year I get to sit and watch and not be in the class with one of my children, and I can see my children being coached at their individual abilities. I would 100% recommend this club. Thanks coaches!!

The competitive coaching is fantastic! Interclub teams are fantastic. Recreational as in anything it depends on who you get for a coach. Sometimes they have had to switch my daughter from coach to coach several timeswhich makes it hard to have consistency. Overall a fantastic club.

Take my daughter here for gymnastics class. Great facility with professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for gymnastics class for their kids.

All the teachers were so nice and I want to give a huge thank you to my coach meg who helped me win first at frosty flip and another huge thanks to all the other coaches who super encouraging

If there was a 0 star I would go for that. This place is horrible. They placed my daughter in the wrong badge after a very lame assessment. Her coach (who is most interested of just standing and do nothing) wants my daughter in a higher badge, but those classes are full. The office staff have been snotty and not helpful at all. So basically I’m paying for my daughter to do kinder gym when she used to compete on a higher level. She Is zero motivated in her group. Also, the waiting time within the group is ridiculous. They do gymnastics for about 2/5 of the lesson. The rest they are just waiting around. I had way bigger hope and expections from this place.

Horrible management, poor oversight of the coaches. Unless your in inter club your wasting you money and endangering your child with very high risk of injury. Would not recommended to anyone. Just watch one class before joining and see it for yourself.Have a conversation with the manager if you need any further convincing.The coaches need to quit and they need to sweep of all levels of management.

I can't say enough great things about CGC, this place in incredible. The coaches are great and super welcoming, all of them, but big shoutout to Coach Rob who's done wonders for my little guys' confidence.When you can take your somewhat shy 3 year old to gymnastics and he turns it loose and tries and learns with such enthusiasm it is really something special to get to experience, for him, and as a parent.As someone who played and coached baseball at the collegiate level I was looking to give my son a base of athleticism that would serve him well his whole life so he can be confident in how his body works and moves.This is the base we were looking for, the coaches have an incredible way of making it fun, skill developing without competition and just such a welcoming place to come. I'm grateful personally I get to come and enjoy class with my son and see him picking up new skills and being confident in them.I have zero expectations for my sons' athletic journey, and he will pursue what he ends up being passionate about as he grows up. But I can say without a doubt that CGC has and will continue to be a part of that journey for him as the skills and self confidence they have already helped him develop in a short amount of time is something that every parents wishes for their child.

What a great program. A couple of my sons have been using this facility for the past 6 years. The competitive men's program teaches discipline, strength, perseverance, and maturity. What a great opportunity for a young man to develop very important life skills. Keep up the great work coaches!
