I called to see how much they charge for racquet stringing, the owner said they dont give the price over the phone... then he quickly ended the call. Strange policy and rude service

Called to ask about restringing my racket. He said there are different strings and I needed to come to the store. Before I drive 40 mins round trip, I asked if the $40-50 dollar range (which is what i paid in Verdun) would be a ballpark depending on the strings I chose. He said Im sorry you need to come in and hung up. If this is the attitude he gives before I get in my car, Im certainly not driving there 20 mins to subject myself more of his dismissive reproach.

Did the wrong service. Then tried to blame me, and was incredibly rude. Not only bad customer service, but bad comprehension skills.

Owner said if i didnt know what tennis racquet i wanted i couldn't enter the store. Talk about costumer service

Kwash has been around a long time. He is a great stringer and knows tennis very well. Prices are very reasonable and he always keeps his word on when the raquet will be strung.

Great racquet stringing and service

The owner has a wealth of knowledge about tennis raquettes, performance, power, etc. but can also come across brittle. He is reluctant to make recommendations, preferring to provide you information and then you make your own choice. I believe he's had to deal with people coming back and holding his recos accountable for their performance. As he explained to me, choosing a racquette is based on several factors as well as a personal choice (also based on a variety of reasons). In the end, he provided valuable insight and I walked away with the Wilson Clash 100. Friendly advice: Be patient and don't use phrases like Can you recommend" or "What do you suggest" - Better to ask for the facts and eventually he will guide you properly. Pro: You'll be guided by a tennis afficinado of 25 years Con: Don't expect spoon-fed customer service."

Have to assume the store owner is a tennis-genius or independently wealthy, because customer service is clearly not his forté. I called to inquire about strings and service pricing and was told the policy was not to provide this over the phone. So, I assumed it would be overpriced, but at least close to home. I arrived at the store within 30 minutes, at 2:30PM, only to see a sign that he would return in 5 minutes, and noticed someone casually reading and eating inside. After roughly 15 minutes, I knocked on the door, was shown a half-eaten sandwich, and walked away. I understand people need to eat, but the number of shop owners I have seen set aside their lunch to help a customer is innumerable. I will need to take my business to a shop further away, but will likely enjoy better service.

This shop has been in business since the 80’s and love the owner’s knowledge and guidance. Read the -ve reviews and all I can say is if you want some random advice this is not your place - want advice once they actually see what type of racket you’re working with, then this is your new fav racket and string shop.

I have never experienced a more rude owner in my life. I am surprised this place is still in business with the way he treats people. If you don't want to get insulted please go somewhere else.
