this place has such a nice atmosphere and friendly service! the braised beef hot pot and noodles were both great. only complaint is the toppings for the hot pot were a bit frozen.

I got the beef tendon/braised beef soup noodles, fungus, tripe and the braised pork hock as a take out via the Fantuan app. Everything tasted good. My only criticism is that the broth can be more aromatic.The food was well packed, especially the soup noodles. Most restaurants use two containers to separate the noodles from the soup to avoid soggy noodles, but it's such a waste of containers! At Four Four, the soup noodles are smartly packed - they are packed into the same bowl as the soup, but there is a thin plastic separator between them so it doesn't waste another container. I feel like the food is less salty than other places, which I really like.

Beautiful location, lovely service and A M A Z I N G food. My pork belly Bao was superrrr delicious and my beef noodles soup...I mean just look ate the pictures to enjoy that beauty and the *attempted Noodle pull. Again, just beautiful! My dear friend joined for the hotpot and really enjoyed it. Our drinks were good too. Is it reccomended? Obviously! If you are looking to enjoy a nice meal this place should go on your list.

One of my favourite places in the city to get taiwanese style beef noodles. The broth is flavourful and the noodles are chewy. Good serving size with a generous amount of meat. The interior is also unique, reminiscent of eating in an old Chinese courtyard.

Great pick up experience during covid using Ritual - it was ready for me by the time I was there! My order was tomato beef n tendon noods, braised tofu and golden kimchi. Ritual bounced it back saying there's no Golden kimchi - so ok, do the other two items... Lo n behold - I got a freebie seaweed salad! So - how's it taste: it's alright...! Tofu tasted great if not a little hard and solid. Noods were ok, slightly less than ok - the soup had a pretty funky taste (maybe I just don't prefer it), the noods were slightly too hard, and the beef chunks were the best part cuz it had tendon!!! And the freebie? I think I know why it's a freebie - I spat it out immediately... Maybe it's just again not my pref, but it was very fishy tasting. All in all - an ok experience. Still kinda want the golden kimchi tho.. loved it when we had it in Taiwan.

The place is clean and lovely. And the service is great. I ordered spicy beef, tender & Tripe noodle soup with less spice and I asked for a small plate of chili sauce on the side. It was delicious! The spice was just right and the broth was so tasty. The chili sauce was perfect for dipping the meat. The price comes with a decent amount of meat. If I come back to visit Toronto, I will definitely go back for another bowl of noodle soup.

I ordered the individual hot pot (tomato beef base with noodles) and was very impressed by the quality of the food and price. Would come back again.Staff were not proactive in their service and could have been better. No one came by to refill our water even though we were a group of 5.Staff also did not proactively introduce the menu so I feel this place may be challenging to navigate if you are not familiar with this cuisine or do not go with someone who does.

Got the Tomato Beef Noodles. The noodles were a little under cooked and the soup was a little light on taste. The toppings were very generous though! They definitely deserve 5/5 on toppings, not stingy at all.However one major oversight that was rather dissappointing. What this place needs to be closer to authenticity is to have white vinegar accessible on the table along with Chinese pickled mustard greens, one of the most important ingredients to mirror a traditionally great Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup.
