Just had an amazing experience at the Getaway Spa..A wonderful hot stones massage with Sarah really made my day and meltaway all of life’s stressI would highly recommend the spa for any self care needed

Clean and organized building, kind staff, great products. Great experiences getting facials. Horrible experiences from getting my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted. I’ve been coming here to get tinted for about two years because I had no car and no where else to go. Out of these two years a quatre of the sessions I’ve had I didn’t go home crying. I’m always unsatisfied with the tintings for the price that you’re paying!!! Missed spots, blacker than black eyebrows on a light brown haired girl, lashes not fully tinted all the way through. I’m so sad to be leaving this review because I’ve really liked it there (when I didn’t cry after leaving) but this is enough. Out of the many times I’ve said to the owner I’m not happy with how her employees have made me look I’ve NEVER asked for a refund. I asked this time and she told me NO. I just lost out on a job because of how I look. And she still told me I was not getting a refund. Can you believe that?If you’re coming here for anything else I recommend it, especially the products. But if you’re going to get your lashes and brows tinted I recommend you just don’t.

I went to get my nails done. My 1st surprise when I got there was I asked to use their washroom, and it was so dirty. This is supposed to be a SPA, and the washroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. It was disgusting! The lady who did my nails was very nice and talkative. But watching her do my nails, I was concerned, as she didn’t even so much as trim my cuticles, or push them back. Nothing. I questioned her about this and she said “they don’t look too bad so I’ll just leave them”. I should have up and left then but didn’t. She sprayed my hands wiped them down, then started the process of applying the base for Shellac. Watching her do this, it seemed she was in a hurry. Perhaps not into her job that day. When she was done, I could clearly see a space between my cuticles and the polish. My nails looked so thick with way too much polish. I mentioned it. She said it was fine, and told me in 3 weeks come back in. Then she would do the cuticles as well. I took pics of my nails when I got home and sent them to my family and friends. They were shocked at the horrible job that I paid over $65 for. When 2 of my friends came over, they both thought I had on press on nails. “They look horrible, and so thick, where the heck did you go to get them done”. I am so disappointed with this place. When I called to complain, the young lady on the phone was either really sick of her job, tired of complaints, and/or didn’t care what I was saying. When I said I was going to to write this review. She said “go ahead, have a nice day”. And hung up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. IF YOU GO….YOUR WASTING YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!

Very respectful place to go. Prices are great and the service is even better. We live an hour away and still make the trip to go here!

I had an absolutely amazing facial given by Melissa. The treatment is 5* and performed with amazing products. I live in Kitchener but spend the time travelling to Mount Forest because the treatments are so well priced and the staff is very nice.

Went with a friend for what was to be a manicure and shellac. The girl who did my nails was not personable at all, didn’t appear to enjoy her job at all, just kept saying she wasn’t good at nail art, she rushed the job. Her work space was messy and unkempt.I wasn’t expecting a miracle as my nails aren’t beautiful to begin with; I had hope it would turn out better than something I could do a home.The only nail preparation for the manicure was a light filing of the nails. She applied the first layer of shellac and had missed multiple spots. When I advised her she said it was fine the next step would cover that. Her nail art was poor but I wasn’t overly concerned with that aspect. When I got home and looked at my nails in better light the coverage is poor and my nails around the cuticles have no shellac. Overall I am very disappointed that I paid $60 for this process. My friends nails turned out really nice and her nail tech Mel was amazing.I would recommend using another facility for a true manicure.

My daughter and I went for manicures. It wasn't the spa experience I was hoping for. The young lady who did mine wasn't very personable. She also took the file and sanded the tops of my nails. Now, 4 weeks later, my nails have peeled so badly I've had to clip them all off, and they are weak and look horrible. I also sat there and picked the dirt out from under my nails before she put the polish on....isn't that supposed to be part of the manicure?? No dryers for speeding up the drying process, then was told we were free to go and pay. Smudged the nail polish trying to get my wallet out. As soon as I got home I removed the polish because I couldn't fix it and it looked awful. Won't be going back.
