I have lived here for 9 years and love it. The proximity to Macewan , Oliver square and brewery district works great for me. The building has AC which is rare plus the heat pumps are individually located in each unit so you dont breathe central air which was a life saver during pandemic. With that said, the new management company Braden Equities should do a better job at managing the building.

If you like having an elevator for decoration, being a victim of break and enters, and a mysterious building managers then this is the place for you!The building has little to no security so be sure to lock your door and a psa don’t bother locking your vehicle in the underground parkade. Took me about 5 broken window repairs to realize that. So be sure to increase your insurance to cover theft and vandalism if you’d like to move in!

As a born and raised Edmontonian, I have lived and worked in the Oliver square area for decades. Yes before it became unity Square it was called Oliver Square. Maxx Condos has been my home since 2015. The community of people who live here are top notch. They are the kindest and coolest people. I met my now wife here :)105 Ave redevelopment plan - aka Columbia ave plan was the reason I bought my Condo. But City moves slower than a snail, now some action is being taken. With that said, I am very happy with my life here at the Maxx.

Awesome place! The structural design is California style with open pedways feels like a townhouse. All the units on the 6th floor are penthouses with 24 foot ceiling and lofts with 2 bed- 2 baths with private patios for summer parties. To top this the building has Central Air conditioning adds which adds so much value to the rent you pay here. Plus it’s pet friendly which is just super!

Great place to live with a good community vibe. It's a concrete-steel building with great noise insulation among floors and high energy efficiency. The condos fees are very low - it covers cost of Nat Gas used - at $4.7/GJ cost this alone pays for the heat cost, plus condo fees also covers water, garbage management, snow removal and preventative maintenance. The people/renters who are making false and negative comments have never lived in a condo before or have never owned an asset and as a result don't understand the life-cycle of a reno or maintenance repair job. I very happy with my choice to live at the Maxx.

Want a slightly afforable unit that constantly has water issues, and an OUTDOOR elevator that breaks every other week?? Hope you like taking the stairs!! This place is for you!Worst management company ever! No building manager to sweeten the deal! Our elevator was down for months without any updates. There was a huge flood over christmas that was barely looked after. This place is a trainwreck no wonder the rent is low.

Lived here for 6 years before moving into a house. I miss the walkable neighbourhood! The pedway system meant we never had weird smells wafting in and I loved the underground parking. I also miss my natural gas line to my BBQ right on my living room balcony! Used to BBQ in winter a lot more with that.

While it's a great location to live in, the carpark has been broken into 3 times within the last year (once getting 11 cars), the elevator was off for a very long time, and some units went all winter without heat.Management is garbage.

My experience has been quite pleasant living at the Maxx for the last 7 years. Yes, my car has been broken into once but thats because of gentrification of downtown. The building has a very spacious open air design with central air-conditioning. Its made from Light Gauge steel in a modular format. I remember when I bought my condo they have received some energy efficiency and design award for using EFIS technology and overall having super R values. The vibe in the building is pleasant, young and hip. There are a lot of pet owners people in the neighbourhood and say hi to each other in common spaces. Overall its very friendly. My only pet peeve is the management company. I think they can do a better job.

I wouldn’t purchase or rent here. The pigeon problem is crazy, the AC only works if no one else is using it, the single elevator is always going down, the garage ramp is icy and slippery half the year, property managers are unresponsive, garbage area looks more like a landfill after it gets picked through, constant construction in all directions with road closures daily.
