I walked in and up to the desk and the lady just ignored me. She rolled her eyes a few times, sat there ignoring me, went to the back, yelled at her coworkers a few times, and then after ~10 minutes she finally came up to me in a huff. I asked if I could order, she said they were closed (even though it was an hour before their stated closing time). Too bad, I live really close and love Mexican food, was looking forward to trying this place and would have been happy with being told right away that they were closed, or being allowed to order something quick for take out, but instead she wanted a bunch of my time.

it is the best mexican restaurant in vancouver the food portions are perfect and the salsa is very hot just like in mexico. It is my favorite place to eat Mexican food I recommend it

Tiny cozy place with interesting decors. There was nobody when we came in so the service was pretty quick.The food was great, very simple yet very yummy. The pupusas didn’t taste as good as I expected. It was burned at the corner and quite flavourless. The sauces they gave us did not meet my expectation either.However, still a decent place to grab some Mexican food. Parking lot is available but limited. We were very lucky to find one last spot 5 minutes after another arrived.

Totally authentic Mexican food, and wonderful service! You can tell it's the real deal because the other patrons were all speaking Spanish. Highly recommend this place!

Vallarta's Mexican Restaurant
This place has been here for years, and I think they make legitimate Mexican food. Overall the food was tasty but the quality of ingredients was suspect. Chips were cold and not fresh, posole was made with pork scraps (tendon), which I'd normally be really happy about but they didn't cook it long enough so it was tough. Overall a bit disappointing, but id give them a second try if i was in the area because i think Vancouver needs places like this

Nice ladies, big portions. Unfortunately tacos were really dry and the meat was way too salty for me (inedible). On the upside there was a lot of chunky meet in the tacos but the beef was a bit chewy. Rice in the burrito had a weird smokey flavour. I accept that some people may actually like it.

Solid mexican joint. The tortilla chips were AMAZING and the chicken burrito I had was one of those beautiful big, saucy, stuffed numbers that can only be eaten with a knife and fork. Decent speed at which they got our food to us too!

The prices kept me away for awhile, but this may well be the best taco in Vancouver. Outstanding! That being said, it'll be a once in a while splurge as opposed to my regular taco joint.

Used to be good but I think they sold the place after the pandemic and the new owners don't know how to make authentic Salvadorian food. Probably ok for mexican food but there are better places for that
