As a BC Realtor who cares immensely about the kind of service I deliver my clients, it could have been tough choosing the right person to represent my parents in the sale of their Calgary home. Joanna is a fantastic realtor. She really really knows the Calgary market & honestly cares about her clients. We were looking for a family home close to downtown and I felt like this was a “sweet spot” for Joanna and her experience really shone in the buying experience. She was very knowledgeable about the history of different houses we were considering which really helped to focus our search. It was honestly due to Joanna that we found our forever home and we couldn’t be happier with the area she suggested for us. Sometimes house hunting doesn't go as planned, life changes, market changes. It's easy to get excited looking at listings and think what could be. Then something pops up in your own life and you are contacting your realtor letting them know you are going to wait for a year or 2. Joanna is in it for the long haul, no rush or pressure to get it done. I bought my first house with Joanna 9 years ago, and she will be helping us find our second in the next couple years. She has been great at helping us with a renovation direction for us to enjoy currently and also make sure it will benefit us later when we go to sell. She's more like a knowledgeable dependable friend that you can call up years later and get the same person you knew with 9 years ago.

I’ve worked with Joanna twice now and she’s a great partner for any home sale or purchase. A lot of realtors work hard - and she’s no exception - but not everyone can provide the kind of all-round, full-service, knowledge, experience and due diligence that make the whole process easier. Buying selling, buying… it’s a ton of stress… but Joanna was able to provide smart advice and resources for every aspect of our journey: Advice on the market, setting proper expectations, prepping the house properly for sale, staging, marketing, getting the right price etc. And on the buying side she brought a lot of insight and experience on industry trends, assessing a property and understanding neighbourhoods… and she was a real champion in making sure that we got a good deal. And she made it fun too!

Joanna Barstad is extremely COMPETENT AND PROFESSIONAL! She is to be trusted and has a high human and professional ethics. Joanna does not only selling or buying properties for clients. She provides extremely reliable service - she understands a client wishes and feelings and matches it with the real situation like market condition, client financial and personal situation.I used her service twice and in both cases she was great. Last time I was in really difficult situation related to my health but she managed to keep the process of selling very smooth. I wish I had such a professional in Red Deer!!!! I need to sell my house now but I'm not sure if I can find such a real estate agent there. Definitely 5 stars and one more.

Joanna is a dedicated, ethical and extremely knowledgeable professional. I know. Even though she was incredibly busy with listings and other clients, Joanna stuck with me for two years until I found the right place. After my possession date, she continued to check in. She loves what she does and it shows. She values her role in educating the client, making that her primary objective, as she always wants to ensure that the client makes an informed decision. All of that adds up to amazing personal service. She is a super fine individual - simply top notch!

Joanna was an incredible help in selling my home and purchasing another. She took the time to go through almost 20 places i was interested in and spent a huge amount of time on the weekdays and weekends to help me. She did her research on each home and we were able to find a fantastic place, which , without her help and knowledge i probably would never had found.
