Fortunately, I've rarely felt compelled to write a negative review for a business however in life, I expect people to treat me as I do them. courteously and respectfully.In a service industry, the customer experience is everything and starts from the top down. When an owner of a salon approaches a customer in an unwarranted aggressive and disrespectful manner (as was my experience ) it shows that he/she has no regard for the value of their clients let alone another human being. Life is too short and there are many business struggling to survive today. I'd much rather support a business who truly appreciates their customers and who is deserving of my loyalty. Sadly, this isn't one of them!

Had an appointment today at 10 am. Braids took 3 1/2 hrs. I was impressed by the fast yet efficient service. Usually braids take six hours. Price was more than fair on the website I thought the prices were low for braids. I had hairstylist #2 and she did a really good job. Unfortunately I didn't have cash on hand to tip but next time I get braids I definitely will. Thanks! I did like my hairstyle ☺

First of all let me say thank you! I was frantically looking for a hair stylist, I had a wedding that weekend. They were prompt, polite and professional with scheduling the appointment and completing my look as well. I was so grateful!.The salon is clean and cozy. With the calming vibe, great Afro-Beats music the time just flew by. The stylist worked so quickly as well! You don't need to bring braids, they have supplies there. However, if you know what you want, it's helpful and I advise you bring photos of the style, hair accessories and extensions, like I did. They were more than fine with that as well.The price was right too! I'll definitely refer people to this salon, it was a wonderful experience

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ladies and gentlemen if you value your crown do not come here. If you value appointments and timeliness choose another salon. If you are looking for a hospitable environment go somewhere else. If you’re looking for low quality mediocre service/experience this is where it is at.

I was ultimately disappointed by the service because although the braider did do a good job, based on my previous experiences at SAMWIN I believe I was overcharged. I accept the price for the wash ($30) but I was told depending on the style, the price for braids varies but would be less than $100. I did not think they were being literal especially as I was only paying to have my natural hair braided. I paid more than the agreed upon price and will not be using the service again.

I have been to this salon several times over the past year and the braids are always neat, and the service is always good.

Great braiding. But styles only last (look fresh) for 2-3 weeks. I'm used to my styles lasting longer. I only come here whenever my regular braider is unavailable.Update: Came again to do single braids ($200) and my initial review still holds true. Braids started falling out at 2 weeks. Very disappointing, never coming back again. Also sometimes appointments are not written down so the stylists look surprised when you show up and unhappy to do your hair (I have seen this happen to others and this happened to my daughter), and the owners solution is to come back later or another day. Very sad. Honestly, just go somewhere else!!

Knocked off a star for the incredibly long wait even though I made an appointment.Knocked off another star for the price as I found $70 for basic braids (for a child) too expensive.Knocked off a third star for how crowded it was despite covid restrictions.
