One Life Recovery Society

I was at OneLife for 5 months and it changed my life, the staff and house Manger Brett are amazing dudes. Solid structure, beautiful home, tons of dudes with love, hope, and experience the share. I highly recommend Onelife to anyone trying to take Recovery seriously!!

I spent 11 months at one life. During that time just like any other sober living house it had its up and downs. If you think that people with drug problems aren't going to use/relapse because they live in a sober house then you’re just being silly. One life is not a rehab/prison lol. It's a place that allowed me to have freedom but also kept me accountable with my peers as well developed tools and life skills to help me deal with my drug addictions. Let me put it simply I wouldn't have lived there for 11 months if it was a bad place to be. I'm over a year clean now, have a good job, my own place, real friends, and my family back in my life. All because I lived at one life.*Update 24 months clean from drugs and alcohol :)

I struggled with addiction for many years. I was in and out of Rehab facilities and twelve steps programs for over half my life. My 4 Month stay at Onelife Recovery was different then anything I ever did before. There I found a sense of belonging and community as well as connection that I have never experienced.  Not only did it help me develop a new way to live

I went to onelife for 6 months after completing a near by treatment center. The times at that house were some of the best of my life. Onelife is very focused on brotherhood and community and the people I went through the house with are still my closest friends to this day. Brett has such a big heart and goes out of his way for any of the guys there. After leaving the house I had a slip up and Brett kept in contact with me all night and was the first person at my house in the morning. He has become a very close friend and is the perfect man for the job. The guys that complete the program and take it seriously do amazing and there is so much clean time from guys that have gone through his house.

My experience at one life was nothing less than amazing. Brett took me in after a relapse and literally saved my life. The program at one life is inclusive and hands on. The staff takes the time to get to know you and is always there when you need someone to lean on. They help build a foundation of recovery so you can re-integrate back into everyday life. Morning meets everyday, group counceling, yoga, chores, mandatory meeting everyday. The program at one life is second to none in nanaimo and truely taught me how to live life, clean. I left one life 8 months ago and i’m now over a year clean and sober. It works if you work it!
