Did a birthday party here.Pros: service was nice to the kids. Lots of fun games to play.Cons: Was told you get scene points. No scene points awarded when it came time to pay. You have to ask for them in advance as they will not remind you. So your loss their gain if they don’t have to award the points. I was politely told to ask Scene for the points. “It should work” they said. Sure. And food was poor quality but I get it - you don’t come for the food. And the real kicker… they charge you an automatic 18% tip on the game cards that come with the birthday meal, which make up the biggest portion of the bill. What shameless cash-grabbing audacity. Conclusion: Not worth it. And definitely not coming back.

My friends and I recently had an incredible time at The Rec Room in Winnipeg, where we indulged in a variety of thrilling activities. We started off by immersing ourselves in the world of arcade gaming, competing in high-score battles, racing games, and cutting-edge virtual reality experiences. The excitement continued as we moved to the sleek bowling lanes, engaging in friendly competition and celebrating strikes and spares. But the highlight of our visit was definitely the axe throwing, where expert staff guided us through the experience, creating an exhilarating mix of concentration and anticipation. Throughout our time at The Rec Room, the staff members were attentive and helpful, enhancing our overall enjoyment. We also took the opportunity to refuel at the restaurant, savoring delicious food and refreshing drinks. From the energetic atmosphere to the top-notch facilities, The Rec Room provided an unforgettable experience for everyone. Whether you're a gaming enthusiast, a competitive bowler, or seeking an exciting new adventure like axe throwing, The Rec Room in Winnipeg is the ultimate destination for a thrilling and enjoyable time with friends or family

I don't like giving bad reviews unless I really need to inform folks. While the Rec Room arcade is a fun experience, the restaurant is poorly managed and it shows. We came in with a party, with a reservation and when we arrived early we were told our space was not yet ready, no issues we can wait, about 15 minutes passed our reso we were sat.We noticed only one server for our area, which at the time was maybe 5 or so tables, possibly 20 folks. As people trickled in, we noticed the serving staff did not increase. When we had our full party, our server had to handle not only our massive party but multiple tables around us.We observed the whole night as the service team was drowing, yet the manager in their nice blue suit was standing around. Easily could have been leading in the kitchen to get food out, pulling folks to assit. But they were more focused on going to smaller tables (groups of 3) and asking about their experience. We were strategically avoided. We counted maybe three servers for our area and they were dealing with alot.I feel bad for the serving staff as the place is clearly printing money hand over fist, but yet the service team has effectively been thrown to the wolves. When our food did come, it was mostly okay. A few missed items and a slightly overcooked burger. Our server, given their circumstances, did an incredible job, they were fast, kind and prompt as they could be.Closing notes:A few things that this Rec Room doesn't do that every other one does is provide popcorn at the table. Not one table had it at all, and I found that weird. Also, there were zero staff on the arcade floor, which again, if you travel and go to Brentwood or Toronto, there are roaming staff cleaning, filling up wipes, and showing people how to play games - there was none of this here.Would I recommend coming here? Sure, but temper your expectations and just come to have fun and play games, eat before coming.

Mostly fun experience when only considering the games we could play. A few games didn't work (took credits without letting us play the game), quite a number of games were out of order" and there was almost no one working so the service was quite poor. This was on a Tuesday evening. Take that for what it's worth. Place could be way better with improved management."

Looking for a place where you want to treat your kids? This is the right place! We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here, and she had a fabulous time enjoying her day with her friends. After spending long hours of playing arcades and video games, the restaurant was just right there waiting for our order! They do have variety of food in the menu to choose from, as well as drink treats for adults and for the kids. What was nice was that, they do give free popcorns too upon dining in. The service was great and above all, the place is an awesome indoor place to enjoy, explore and have fun!

Cool arcade, environment is fun and time passes by really fast. Flappy bird and basketball were entertaining. Ordered orange juice and it was flat, had a good time besides that haha.

Was here for a double birthday party. I enjoyed this visit. It wasn’t a cheap experience but like I’ve said I had a great time. We ate and drink a lot and played a variety of games. I will post pictures. Have a look and see what you think

Pros: Fun atmosphere, good variety of arcade games from modern to traditional ticket arcade, VR is pretty good, food was expensive but excellent all around.Cons: Establishment outright lied about drink size on all menus and boards (473ml and what I got was 355ml), dining room and kitchen obviously understaffed as wait times are very long. Wanted to talk to someone about the drink thing but good luck finding a manager.

Awesome place for all age groups like kids and adults. There is plenty of variety of games. Wonderful and well maintained place. I really love and enjoyed my visit. Just one thing I noticed that some of the staff like really behave weird but most of the staff was really friendly. Two lady staff are totally rude and not behave well but male staff was so good and helpful. Overall, it's really good if you don't need assistance. I highly recommended recroom to my friends. Definitely, I came back again and enjoyed myself with my family and now don't need any assistance from staff, so next visit. It's definitely more fun next time.
