One of the best Bangladeshi restaurants in Toronto. Food is okay. Service and atmosphere is really good. And the best thing is the bangla song playlist. The guy who have selected the playlist has really good taste- I have to admit

The service and atmosphere was spot on, one of the best for a Bangladeshi restaurant.Unfortunately the quality of the food needs some work. Tehari rice to meat ratio does not have enough meat, and most other dishes are under spiced. The meat dishes are also more dry than expected. This place is good if you want to introduce someone to Bangladeshi flavours and they are not used to spicy foods. But the flavours could be much improved and leave something to be desired, something that can be improved. Other aspects are spot on, I’d come here again for light fare and to see how the food quality changes over time.

I went here for dinner with my friend. It is a nice small establishment. Not a very big seating area. Ambience is good and service is amazing as well. Coming towards food, we started with the fuckha and malai boti. Fuchka was good and a little spicy. Malai boti came with mini puris. The chicken was dry but overall it was ok. For the main meal we ordered the beef kacchi biryani and shrimp bhurta. The beef kacchi biryani was a winner for me. Loved it. It had the right amount of spiciness and the masala was really good. I found the shrimp bhurta a little too spicy but my friend really loved it. For drinks we tried their dried mango and tamarind based drink (can't recall the actual names). I was not a fan. It was a little too sour for me. Overall experience was good and I would recommend the place specially for their biryani.

I have visited this Bangladeshi restaurant several times in the past few months and have consistently had a great experience. It is an ideal place to introduce others to Bangladeshi cuisine. We had the pleasure of trying their Deshi Bangla Chinese menu, and it was a nostalgic reminder of what we get back home - the beef tehari and khichuri with Hilsa fry were exceptionally tasty. Additionally, their fried rice and fried chicken from the Bangla Chinese menu were personal favorites of mine. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Bangladeshi cuisine.

I was a big fan of Chawk Bazar food. So I got excited when they introduced Bangla Chinese. We ordered Deshi Thai soup, Egg Fried rice with chicken, Beef chilli onion and Chicken cashew nut salad along with drinks and chotpoti. Only Drinks and chotpoti were tasty. Deshi Thai soup didn’t have any shrimp, very little chicken- like super hot(jhal) bowl of soup with no taste at all. Rest of the dishes are bland and flavourless. Not at all tasty. Didn’t expect that from Chawk Bazar. Very disappointing. Two stars for the service, drinks and chotpoti.

Was a surprise lunch from my friend as I tried this Bangladesh cuisine first time. We ordered a bit of everything from my Bangladesh friend for the company lunch. the Chicken Cashew salad was refreshing. The phuchka is a must have item on your table. The Achari Chicken with Polao rice had that amazing aroma of spice and chicken flavor. Would recommend to try it out.

We ordered Bangla Chinese menu which included egg fried rice, fried chicken, chili fish and thai soup. Was craving for bangla Chinese so thought to try it from here. All items were tasted good, only problem was with fried chicken-i believe it wasn’t fried enough as inside layer was little cold. Chili fish was good but i will suggest to make the fish size little smaller than current size. I liked the fried rice it was really good. Also thai soup was good. Overall we liked it. They also have baby high chair available. All staffs seems good and friendly.

So, I went with my family for a evening snack come dinner. The service was satisfactory, our host was always with a smile while serving us.Now let’s talk about the food taste, after a long time we enjoyed Bangladeshi traditional taste in Chinese cuisine. The spice level was high, as we wanted it to be.One recommendation for the restaurant is to increase its capacity.Best of luck!!

Chawk has a very nice and cozy interior. The food we ate there for dinner was average. Their service is impeccable though. We ordered fuchka and malai chicken kabab for appetizers. I did not like the fact that we had to make the fuchka ourselves. The filling was not very tasty. The kabab was quite dry and lacking flavour. Luchis were good. For main we had the beef kachhi biriyani and chingri bhorta with rice. Those tasted much better than the appetizers. For drinks we ordered the thakur’s tamarind and the green mango drink. Those were sweet & sour and tasty.
