My husband and planned our wedding on very short notice. Christine at Body Perceptions was recommended by the place I bought my wedding dress from for speedy and affordable alterations. She was amazing - very personable, friendly, and always had a new story to share. Not to mention she had my dress altered, steamed, and ready in a flash! Very happy with her services and would highly recommend. Thanks again Christine :)

Horrible customer experience. Unprofessional, unaccountable. Do not use this service if you want an accountable service.I dropped my bridesmaids dress off 2 months before the wedding date. The job was changing the size by removing the seam on side and resewing it using the seam allowance. No extra parts etc.1. She didn’t contact me according to the timeline and kept pushing the dates further. She didn’t even bother to contact me about it. I had to contact her first several times to get my first dress fitting just moving the seem.2. She exaggerates the difficulty of job. She quoted me $100 first, then also second time after the fitting, and then when my husband was picking up the dress she said she would never do this job for $120 + tax. She ripped up the receipt in front of my husband and unhappily accepted the money.3. Same dress was altered at cheaper and better price at a different price. Other bridesmaids got the same job done for $80+ tax in a week. And this service was done in downtown Toronto which is much busier than Barrie.4. She thought the wedding I was attending was on July 16th even though I told her on multiple occasion it was on July 8th and she even wrote it down on the paper. If I wasn’t on her, there was a possibility that she would have never bothered to call me until the wedding was already done.5. She promised to let me pick up the dress after I did the first dress fitting on, and again changed the wedding date on her own. And didn’t even bother to call me.6. I got my dress 2 days before the wedding after I called her the morning of. even then she wanted to discourage me from picking it up by telling me to pick up tomorrow.Do not recommend this service. Unaccountable customer service. Go elsewhere.

She is amazing!!! She has been sowing for me for years and everything is always fabulous! I come to her with insanely unique and creative projects and she continues to outdo herself.

Excellent!!! I was soo impressed I felt it warranted a great review. Just a happy place to get sewing alterations and elegant dressmaking your goto professional 1 stop.

Left dresses to last minute. ( After having them a long time ) I had to chase her. Then about a week beforewedding, I had to pressure her letting us pick them up. She said she would have them done, as hadn't started them. Bridesmaids dress was completely wrong, she wanted to fix it without another check. We said no and left.After reading owners review. She did have our date of wedding ( I am very organised especially when it came to my wedding) and she also had my contact Information. Cell and email.Also the name she listed was my bridesmaid and not fully correct, I was the bride and dealt with this. I waited five months to post as I wanted to not write in the moment and we have been busy.

We were looking for a seamstress to help us with a last minute request to hem a few pair or pants. Every other place was telling us minimum three weeks!! Christine didn’t hesitate to help us. Not because she wasn’t busy (because she was, we saw the racks of dresses). She got our pants done in one day! She was super friendly too. We would highly recommend Body Perceptions!

Terrible experience 0/10. Christine is unprofessional and her work space is dirty and cluttered. She lied about having my wedding dress in pieces, she did not return phone calls or text messages. I found my wedding dress on the floor in her basement. I met another bride in her driveway who said “if I can give you any advice- take your dress and run” and that is exactly what I did and found a wonderful seamstress that got the job done in 2 days!Do not use Body Perceptions! Beware

I went to Christine for a last-minute alteration on a pair of pants; she got me in first thing in the morning, sized me, modified the pants while I waited, double-checked the fit, and had me out the door in less than 40 minutes. She was a pleasure to deal with, does fantastic work, and charges very reasonable prices. Thank you Christine!

My son had his grad suit tailored here. The suit was not completed on the date originally agreed on. Christine the tailor was extremely rude and changed rates on the go. Was late to fittings, or wouldn't show up at the arranged time.Absolutely do not recommend using this tailor.Stressful and expensive experience. Way overpriced.
