Our chair started making clunk noises when rocking, out of nowhere, so we reached out to Dutaillier for repair. We were not covered under warranty and we were willing to pay the price of the repair. Dutaillier said they will not do anything as it is no longer covered. We asked for a technician contact but the technician would only come to the house if we ordered a replacement part but unfortunately Dutaillier would not sell us anything. We are extremely disappointed in the customer service, it being a Canadian company with no help for a paying customer. It was such a let down. I would go with Monte Design instead.

I have owned my glider which locks with foot stool for 20 years. It is still in great working order. I intend to contact the company to purchase replacement cushions for chair and foot stool . Outstanding workmanship. I look forward to using another 20 once my well worn cushions are replaced. So proud of this Canadian company.

When I got pregnant with my second child, I knew I needed a rocking chair this time around. Many moms I knew owned a Dutailier so it naturally was my first choice. I was delighted to be able to pick a very specific pink color to match our nursery (vast choice), and even more ecstatic about how tall the back of my glider was, allowing for my head to rest comfortably despite how tall I am. I have been nursing and falling asleep in it for weeks, so happy with this investment!

We like our 12 year old rocking chair by Dutailier with the ottoman. But it was time to replace the cushions... what an expensive proposition at half the price of the entire chair. Unfortunately there are no replacement cushions available for our ottoman any, according to their site, guess that will have to go into storage or we need to see if we find any fitting cushions elsewhere.So we place our order and get the order confirmation with the next surprise. Our card was charged in full, but the delivery time for cushions is 8-11 weeks, which I don't recall being mentioned in the order process.[UPDATE] A day after posting this review and emailing them directly, we got our shipping label created notification. Looking forward to receiving the items soon.

Experience:I purchased a reclining glider for our nursery on December 26 and was amazed when the product showed up to my home on December 30. They happened to have a model with my customizations pre-built a few weeks ahead, which is why I was lucky to get it so soon. As I was taking out the items from the box, I was very excited to put it together as the cushions were fluffy and the velvet material was nice and soft – it felt of good quality.I noticed the base of the chair had a gap at the bottom front end which was concerning to me so I contacted their customer service. I checked the instructions, and online before hand and assumed that it was a defect as this was not apparent anywhere. The employee advised a new piece would be shipped within 10 business days and on the 10th business day I did a follow up to find out the piece was delayed. I was a little frustrated at this point as this box is massive and was in the way for 3 weeks and I didn’t know how much longer I would have to have it like this.I was then contacted a few days later to be advised that there was a misunderstanding and the reclining chair requires that gap for the chair to recline properly. They sent a picture example of one in their showroom and apologized for the inconvenience it caused and that the previous employee was not made aware of this. With remote working and new employees coming on board I can understand how things like this can happen and was happy it was caught sooner than later and was satisfied with how they handled the matter. Mistakes happen.Quality:It was worth the wait of putting it together! The colour, material and quality of the glider is amazing. Just wow! We may even get a second one as my husband and I both love it. Possibly with a wider seat if available as I just fit (I’m a size 14) and the bars touch my hips. An extra inch or two would be nice for the curvier woman. All in all, it’s a beautiful chair and I am happy to buy a Canadian product.

I bought a rocker 24 years ago and needed a new cushion for it for quite some time. The rocker frame is still in AMAZING condition. Built to last. I contacted Dutailier through Facebook and got a reply right away. Because my model is so old, they were able to provide me with a code to order a new cushion that would fit the old model I have. I have ordered a new cushion and am just waiting for it to arrive. I am VERY excited to FINALLY have a proper fitting cushion for my rocker. Will be able to enjoy it soon. I would recommend Dutailier to anyone who wants a quality rocker and great customer service.

Buyer beware!We purchased a glider in April 2022. We were initially very happy with our purchase as it seemed well made and was very comfortable.After a few months, we noticed the seat cushion began moving more and discovered the strap attaching it to the chair had torn.Upon reaching out to the company, we were told they would not honor the warranty because it was our fault and we had not attached the cushion correctly.To justify their position, they sent first a picture of how to attach it with instructions which differed from what we had received with our chair and then another set of instructions which read attach the seat cushion strap snap buttons under the crossbar at the bottom of the backrest."I responded with a picture of the instructions on the chair we received which simply read "Fix the straps of the seat cushion to the back of the chair".There was a picture included that was the same on both

We posses an older model of a rather complicated and expensive leather recliner/rocker/swivel chair (Avantglide Chair). The 4 plastic covered bearings had broken. Although the chair is obsolete, the bearings were replaced promptly at no charge. I highly recommend the the company and especially their customer service.

Christine Foley was a great help in following up when my order was not delivered by the shipping company. She made sure to have my order shipped again, and it arrived on the day she said it should. My replacement cushions were better than the originals and worth the wait.

Fantastic customer service!!! I purchased nothing directly and still got immediate attention on two issues. A 25 year old chair needed new bearings. I got them for free! Another new chair arrived damaged. I ordered it via Amazon. A replacement part was sent ASAP. Ms Foley - you’re the best!!
