Waited till my last 3 dollars before getting my short term disability benifits going. I dont live paycheck to paycheck, thats how long they took. After calling to tell them im going back to work, two weeks in advance, i recently get a letter stating WE messed up

I'm honestly baffled why bullies like Joseph Kravetz are still employed here. He screams and berates at his employees, threatens to fire them during meetings, and yet is still there even after numerous reports to HR. His direct reporting managers over the years to this day are either terrified, incompetent, or complicit with his behaviour since they turn a blind eye to this toxicity. His behaviour is symptomatic of the company's toxic culture that is supported and nurtured from the top down.

If 0 was a possibility, I’d be giving them that. Not only do they not cover psychologists in MB or other provinces other than BC or those registered to the BCACC (bc association of clinical counsellors), which is bull when it’s already hard enough to find affordable or good mental health services; but they also never reply to the online contact forms, phone calls you have to wait a stupid amount of time on hold before anyone picks up, and they take bloody forever to actually process a claim that they “randomly select” to be looked at.My workplace switched to them in February from sunlife and it was a awful choice. They have the worst claim processing times, horrible customer service times and if they do actually have to correct a mistake on a claim, it takes over the 11 business days…people have other bills to pay with the money they receive back. It shouldn’t take 11+ days just to get a claim processed and covered.The only 5 stars they have would be from the staff who work there I’m sure, cause this company is not good!! I miss sunlife !

I am not sure how they got some many 5 stars without any comment. If taking forever for one of their representitives to be available is one of this company's specialty, they deserve all 5 stars. I wish 0 star could be a choice here.

I wish there was a way to file a class action lawsuit against this company. My payment is 1/5th of my wage and still they fail to pay me on time. The first time it was 2 months now this time it was 2 weeks ago. I even called my case worker when it was due to verify it was sent. Her error but no comebacks on her. I will miss my mortgage payment and have to also pay the NSF.You can't even file a complaint. No direct line to a complaints department. This is nothing short than legalized grafting.

I have swelling in my jaw and want to know the coverage. The amount of time it takes to password retrieve for my online account is over 10 minutes! Not knowing this, I sent a few password retrieve requests. We'll, when the first one came, it was invalid. And the second. And the next. Because it appears new requests invalidate previous ones. Then when I changed my password, the platform said it was going to send me a one-time verification code. Again, took 10+ minutes before I received it. The e-mail said that the code was valid for 10 minutes. Now I can't even access the website because I'm getting a 404 error. I call customer service and they're closed. I am so frustrated, this is ridiculous.

I’d like to know what access to my information that Canada Life has that gets me a mass marketing call from an Indian call centre saying now that I’ve retired would I like some life insurance? I retired only five days ago. A prompt reply would be welcomed.

They clearly don’t have enough staff to answer phone calls and emails. It shouldn’t take 4-5 days being in queue for hours each day until it cuts you off, before someone finally answers. Similarly with emails, the turnover rate is terrible and nobody should have to wait 2-3 weeks for an email response.
