The room was comfortable with many amenities, but every interaction with the owner beyond check-in was unpleasant. We were getting into town early and asked about early check-in, and received a very rude reply. The manager was aggressive with my partner when he left our room as she didn't know he was in there and apparently needed to be registered (she hadn't asked at check-in). A few dishes are provided but be sure to leave $10 cash to wash them or you'll be charged $50. I was in town for an event and I think every party that booked a room ran up against the manager for innocuous things that hotels typically wouldn't blink at, from loaning a key to somebody to grab something out of the room, to a family booking two rooms and swapping which members were in each room to optimize bed space (they got a talking to for that). I was going to forget about it, but now apparently a *coat hanger* went missing and I may be charged for it. I felt like the entire time I was there I was under surveillance and I checked out as soon as possible (but only after washing the coffee pot to avoid further charges).

I was very pleased with the room and the staff. It was clean, while equipped and the front desk staff, Vicky, was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant attached to it was good and offered a home-cooked meal for a weary traveler. Thanks again

Very good people and rooms are basic but very comfortable I would definitely recommend it to my friends? Restaurant food was awesome and some of the best I have eaten on the road

Sitting down at this restaurant a little past lunchtime, while the place is still occupied by a healthy number of customers, gave the impression that this place was worth a try.The service was a bit slow, and quite a bit of work for the only waitress in the restaurant. We waited quite a while for the drinks and food, but when it came, the server was pleasant and helpful, which solved that problem .The food was worth the wait however. The fries were golden and crunchy with a soft center. The fish was well cooked, everyone seemed to enjoy their food choices for their late lunch. The decor was also fit for the season, and the price was reasonable for the area and quality. We will likely return to this diner should our travels take us that way again.

I went to check in this morning and the manager was very irate . She didn’t want to check me in this morning. I tried to check in last night. Then she said what did you think was going to happen 15 after midnight. I said I drove many hours after work to get here and slept in the truck. Then she said if you called someone might have been here. I lost it at that point. I said I am a customer. I don’t want to stay here. The. She said who do yuh think you are? I just got in the truck and left. She was still yelling at me when I left. Very poor customer service.

DO NOT STAY! The motel manager appears very clearly to suffer from a personality disorder, refer to the one star reviews. Strongly discourage staying here, and DO NOT PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD; if you do you will have arbitrary undisclosed charges to your account without notice, explanation or a receipt. Overtly abusive and flagrantly fraudulent manager.Unaffiliated attached restaurant is good.Edit: My mistake, after reading the owner's response, I now realize she is obviously completely sane and honest. 10 stars.

If heading westbound, there is a great Mexican restaurant just west of Bridesville; if going eastbound Greenwood has a couple of wonderful coffee shops and eateries. However, if you really cannot wait and must eat now, this is one of your only options. And, honestly, I would wait. Here's why:Decor/visual stimulation: pretty spare. White walls with a few small pieces of artwork which are quite negligible due to its tiny size. Bare tables with utensils literally thrown in front of us along with the condiment tray. Bathroom is quite unappealing.Service: the one server was friendly and efficient in a loud, brash, and rough way. She would bring out the dishes two at a time and literally ask by yelling overtop our conversations, Who ordered the.."? First

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, my girlfriend and I ended up having to stay the night here last week. And what a great stay we had. I wish I had got the name of the woman who had helped us to personally thank her here. The attached restaurant has some really good homemade style food, and the waitress working was incredibly friendly.I think this will be added to our regular stops when traveling through Midway. Our stay certainly left a long lasting memory with us.

HORRIBLE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I read some of the other reviews before arriving regarding the ‘crazy’ owner, and thought how bad could it be? Oh, it’s bad…When my Dad made the reservation months ago for a KVR bike trip, we hadn’t planned on on our second dog coming. When we arrived and told her we had two, she had a total melt down acting as if we were trying to scam her or get away with something..her reaction was so bizarre. She said the only way we could stay is if we paid for 2 rooms, and because there is a policy of a ‘minimum 2 night stay’ we’d have to pay for FOUR NIGHTS for a ONE NIGHT stay. We’ve never had a problem with ‘pet friendly’ lodging taking 2 dogs, so we honestly never thought to call back and mention the second after our plans changed.A policy is a policy, but the way she spoke down to us was shocking. She literally said ‘entitlement isn’t welcome here, go back to Calgary.’ I don’t know how refusing to pay $500 to stay in a roadside motel is ‘entitled’ but I can’t imagine running a business and speaking to customers that way. When I said we’ll have to find somewhere else, she laughed at us and said ‘good luck you won’t find anything else unless you drive to Osoyoos.’ Well, we called Boundry Creek Motel 10 minutes down the road and booked a room on the spot. The owners there were AWESOME, very kind and accommodating. They even invited us to join them for a campfire behind the motel in the evening :)After I told her we’d made other arrangements, she had another mouthful of rude and sarcastic comments to spit out, and said ‘well I would have offered to give you two rooms and charge only one night.’ Lady- we could have avoided the whole conflict if, like a normal person who works in customer service, you had offered that right off the bat!! I had a few choice words for her when leaving and didn’t hesitate to share them after being treated that way.Anyways, after reading the other reviews and having our own terrible encounter with her, I would avoid the risk of staying here..it seems like there are a lot small of things that can set this ‘lady’ off. Greenwood is only 10 minutes away and has a few options, Boundary Creek I believe is the only pet friendly option.
