Restoule Provincial Park
What a nice place to visit. This park was exceptionally clean and well looked after. Everyday we saw maintenance crews cleaning up sites and cleaning the facilities. The best activity was the hiking. We really enjoyed the fire tower hike which was not too difficult and surprisingly mosquito free. When you do this hike you can choose how difficult you want it to be. Going counter clockwise makes a gradual climb up to the top, while the opposite makes a pretty steep climb near the end. Our only disappointment was that you can't actually climb the tower. However, a short 3 minute hike farther is a breathtaking view looking out over Smokey Lake.

4.2Amazing park. 3 beaches (one with a volleyball net) to choose from. Dog beach. Off leash area. Most of the sites we saw had a great distance between them, meaning great privacy. Paddling, biking and hiking will keep you busy for your stay. Washrooms and comfort stations are well... comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future. We would recommend this site.Note: the reason why 4.2 was given is because Restoule lake is shared with cottages. They can get noisey at times and the sound will Travel across the lake.

Restoule Provincial Park
Restoule Provincial Park is beautiful and the lakes of Restoule and Stormy joined by the river is gorgeous. We car camped. Perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. The hiking paths are varied and three out of four can be done by bicycle however some are more tricky than others. We walked all hiking paths and they each have their own character. The Fire Tower hiking trail is beautiful and the most recommended hiking trail due to the Stormy Lake lookout. The shorter Rangers Walk trail provides areas where you can swim in Stormy Lake. The entry into the lake is rocky and slippery (not a sandy beach) so wear swim shoes and be a confident swimmer. Restoule Lake beach is ideal for small children as you can walk out far and it isn’t very deep. If you’re a confident swimmer you can go beyond the buoys to swim. We stayed at Putt’s Point campground non-electric site and it was private and surrounded by tall trees. There are 2 comfort stations in the park with vault toilets, a few composting toilets throughout the park. Water is readily available and there are a few walk in sites and group camping. Our stay during the week at the end of August was excellent because there were less people and mosquitoes/deer flies in the park. I would recommend a Restoule Provincial Park as a great place to visit for camping, hiking, biking, paddling, and fishing. You can also paddle out to back country sites.

Restoule Provincial Park
A beautiful park. Fire tower trail is one of the best we've hiked. Great fishing on both Restoule and Stormy Lakes. On our list to camp at every year.

Went camping here last last summer. The camp site was great, the comfort stations were very clean. I spent my entire time chilling by the beach and enjoying star-watching, but my friends did fun things like kayaking and fishing too. Great place to go with friends and family :)

I came here with a group of 10 people and we booked two campsites next to each other. We had an amazing time. There's a beach for swimming with clean water (albeit cold at times so I suggest going during the day when it's hot). There are a couple of nice, relaxing trails. We weren't able to finish the Fire Tower trail due to the excessive amount of mosquitos/midges flying in our faces. Canoes are also available to rent; we got one for 24 hours for approximately $60 (plus $100 deposit). The only issue was we encountered several midges in the water (at sunrise and sunset). Bathrooms are cleaned twice a day and there are several showers so we never had to wait.

We did car camping at this provincial park. We also hiked a lot of their trails - including the Fire Tower Trail which is a moderate hike and with a great view! The park is clean with a lot of comfort stations / vault toilets also kept very clean. The trails are well marked and easy to find. There are a couple of easy paddle in campsites as well which means there are a variety of activities for all skill levels. The one downside of this park as well as many others is that the campsites are not the most private and are close together, meaning that if you have loud neighbours (like we did) it can damper your experience. Overall it was a good time….would probably go back to check out the paddle in sites but that’s it.

Great park overall. Awesome beaches, great trails for bikes and walking. Do note comfort centers are close by, seperate washrooms are close by, which by the way, doesn't dank as much as you think. Cleaned quite often I would say. Would def come back.

Awesome park! The entire park seemed nice and clean, surprisingly a lot of empty sites for a long weekend, although there is a Provincial Fire ban in place.Really nice little beach at Pug Point Campground!

We got a group site, you need 15 people minimum to book this site. It was huge, secluded and so much fun. We had a mini beach to be shared between two group sites. The park was nice, the beach was very nice and sandy. Also water was quite shallow as well, so warmed up fast.Bathrooms were not so clean. It was always wet, muddy and extremely smelly. I wish people would wipe after themselves. My biggest complaint about this provincial park. Also mosquitoes. They ate us up. They were mutant mosquitoes - so large and hairy.
