I absolutely loved working with All Dry of Ann Arbor and Brighton! My job was extremely difficult and complicated with white mold and dirt on everything in the basement, including the rafters. The technicians were very kind and comforting. They were sure that they could help me, and they certainly did! My basement is clean and disinfected. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to call them again. They were easy to contact, and the work was definitely done to my satisfaction and in a timely manner. Five stars from me!

I am a local real estate agent that had a listing and a moderate amount of mold was discovered in the attic at the home inspection. Knowing that we were under a deadline, All Dry came out right away, remediated the mold at a reasonable price and their customer service was top notch. Updating based on response from owner: the text of my original review is unchanged. The business response to this review does not address my actual complaint (unclear communication about the bill despite repeated attempts to get clear information). It is also easy to find based on a quick Google search that at least one of the glowing 5 star reviews of this business is from someone related to the owners. I HIGHLY recommended potential customers look elsewhere.Original review below:I unfortunately would not recommend that anyone work with AllDry. Their work was fine, but the lack of transparency about our bill has left us scrambling during the literal worst time of our life, after experiencing a sewer backup into our basement.On June 6, I made it very clear to Alisa at AllDry that we had a fixed budget that our insurance would cover, and that we needed an estimate of how much this was going to cost. She advised me that this was not something that she could tell me, and that Matt would be the one to talk to.Later that day, we spoke to Matt and also made clear our budget concerns. He was hesitant to share an estimate, but after we told him why we needed to know (total budget of $15k for remediation and rebuild), he told us that he did not expect this to cost more than $4000- $4500.The work was not completed in the timeframe we were given, so it is understandable that the estimate given was low. However I was shocked to learn that our bill came to $9700, more than double the amount quoted. No workers were really inside the house during the extra time, and this inflated bill is apparently due to materials and equipment alone.I do understand that the materials cost what they cost. I do understand that the job has to be completed to sanitary standards. My issue is that after our conversation with Matt, where it was made very clear that budget was something we needed to keep an eye on, we were never at any point advised that the estimate was going to be so far off. Matt has since said that he should never have made the estimate. If he knew that he never should have made the estimate, AND it was obvious that it was going to be low, why were we never kept in the loop?We received a very detailed itemized bill that breaks down the costs, after the work was completed. Prior to this, we had asked multiple times for an update on costs, and were consistently told that they can't give details until the remediation is complete (despite giving us an estimate earlier). We were also told that a third party handles all billing, which is a red flag in hindsight. By asking for updates multiple times, they had ample opportunity to correct the low estimate but did not do so.We received a personal phone call from Matt that he's sorry. The company has otherwise not offered to make this right.We are now left with a destroyed basement that cannot possibly be rebuilt with the funds we have left. Potential customers beware, and get all communication in writing.
