Tay Motel

Even though this is an older hotel,. It was there when we really needed a place to stay otherwise we would have been staying in our car. They even accepted our kitty cat. Nice clean and warm room. Very comfortable. The owner bends backwards to accommodate. We are so very grateful for having a means to be warm and dry and a bed to sleep in and a shower for cleanliness. We have a kitchenette room so we also have a means to have warm meals. We are very grateful and thankful. Recommendation is a 5 out of 5.

Kevin (manger) is a great guy I've been staying here since last April and any problems I've had he bent over backwards to help me out ,rooms are clean thanks to him he is a hard worker that almost works 24/7

I have stayed at the Tay Motel many times, and the manager Kevin has always worked with me , and accommodated myself and my dog. We've always been safe & well looked after. Also the sunsets are gorgeous! The rooms are older, but definitely cozy.

Our riding club had an event in Port Severn this past weekend. When we reached the TayMotel, we found several of us did not have accomodations. We booked a couple of months in advance and made a deposit. This is not the first time it has happened and I would not everrecommend this motel to anyone. They are liars and cannot be trusted. The 1 star was just so I can post this review. They dont deserve any stars. Posted Sept 12, 2022.

I booked a 2 night stay on Monday Aug 230th/21 for this weekend and was told that there was availability on Friday & Saturday night. The front desk staff wanted an e-transfer for the room. I told him I would like to pay by Amex and wanted to leave my CC number for the HOLD. He said I could pay when I got there. I phoned today letting him know we might be arriving after 6:30pm because of traffic and then he told me that the hotel was booked solid. I said I know, I have a hotel room for 2 nights. He then told me if I didn't pay by e-transfer, I don't have a room. I'm VERY disappointed at the poor customer service the NEW OWNER of the Motel presence. It says on the website they take VISA or AMEX and he will not honor my reservations. This is a rinky-dink way to run a Motel/Hotel. Don't take a chance by booking here, once you arrive YOU may not have a room to rest your head. If I could give it ZERO STARS I would.

Awesome little Motel not the fanciest by any means. But they rent by the month which is a major plus if you're in between places to live

This place was great. The owner was really nice. The room was clean with comfortable beds. There isn't breakfast, but the Exit 156 Port Severn Restaurant is just a short drive, and it's good. I would definitely stay here again.

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL . GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE AREA. LETTING US KNOW THE BEST RESTAURANTS ,CHEAP GAS ETC. MET SOME NICE NEIGHBOURS. CLEAN ROOM WITH KITCHENETTE. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR WEEK STAY. THANK YOU

Clean and comfortable - could use WiFi booster for the convenience of all guests. Gorgeous sunsets every night! Friendly, helpful staff and reasonable rates.

The manager Kevin was a super host. He went way beyond his call of duty to accommodate me and my family. The room was clean and warm. I recommend anyone staying there. Thanks so much Kevin!
