It's a must-see when visiting Algonquin and area for sure! They have craft and activities for kids and some very unique (and some quite expensive) original artworks on display. Some really nice pieces for even the most discerning collector would appreciate. They also have sell various other knick knacks too. It's good for a stopover visit when traveling through the park. And of course it's included in your Ontario Parks day pass or camping permit.

Looks like a great art gallery. There is a gift shop inside too. There had been a Cafe but it was closed. I liked all the art prices on display but they are pricey as their looks too. Also there was a canoes with murals made by a project, Canoe Mural project and they were pretty. It is a good place to rest and enjoy great art work and also you can use their public washrooms which were very good.

A place to visit by Art Lovers no doubt. You cab find paintings and arts on sale from $200 to as high as $40,000 there. There is a gift shop to buy souvenirs as well and they won't cost you too much. Exterior yard and nearby lake across the parking lot was the best. Parking is ample and fall colours was awesome. Worth a visit to experience the place and a legacy to legendary artist Tom Thomson as well.

We really enjoy visiting here. The gallery is always a treat, with a wide variety of art in many different forms - some forms we've not seen elsewhere! The staff are kind and attentive, and we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the sweet dog behind the counter. The gift shop has a broad selection of items - we especially enjoy looking through the display of lovely children's books. Very beautiful grounds as well, with intricately painted canoes on display. Always a pleasure to stop by!

This is a great spot to stop while your driving through Algonquin. They have a nice gift shop, the art gallery is awesome, and there are some beautiful sights outside of the art center as well.

A true gem in Algonquin Park. The Algonquin Art Centre is a world class small gallery of some of Canada's finest wildlife and landscape painting, sculpture and other forms of art. The art on display is lovingly curated and their small gift shop has great arts and local crafts that support the gallery's focus on the outdoors. Tom Thomson painted many of his most iconic works here the park and the art centre activly honours his work and that of the Group of Seven by displaying today's best Canadian landscape and wildlife art. It's only open during the spring, summer, and fall. In the summer months they offer art classes and opportunities to create your own small paintings and sketches. It's worth the drive from Ottawa or Toronto. View the gallery, the Algonquin Park visitor centre, and stay in a lodge in the park for a uniquely Canadian weekend or overnight. The nearby Portage Store and also Killarney Lodge offer great meals.

The kids and I had a great time today doing a craft at the art centre. Our instructor Alex was awesome with the kids and taught them how to embroider.
