So I originally left a poor review as our $75 begonias were growing out of the pots and breaking off. The owner called me right away and offered to fix the problem and replace our plants without issue as he was not aware from his staff of my complaints. Very happy with this nursery. Plants are beautiful and well looked after

Great place for plants and trees annuals and perennials

Every year we purchase two $75 begonia baskets from Johnsons. This year we spent $450 on other plants as well. This year was the first year had an issue with out baskets. The flowers grew out of the basket and broke off. I called and was told basically we have had the baskets for two months and didn't look after them. We take them in when windy and if it gets anywhere near cold and water regularly. I would never buy there again because of the way I was treated and hinted that we did not look after them. Obviously this greenhouse does NOT stand by their product. Don't waste your money, buy elsewhere. We routinely spend at least $1200 per season on plants. We will be spending our money at another greenhouse from this point on.

Found the perfect lilac trees and flowers for our backyard refresh. Staff was knowledgeable and just the 4ight amount of helpful. They were available to answer questions, find products and give helpful advice... All without hovering. And I appreciate that. They have everything I needed, they are likely to have everything you need too.

Wow. I feel like I hit the plant potluck here. Beautiful selection of perennials and they offer a one-year warranty on their plants. There isn’t a lot of selection on soils though.

Awesome service and knowledge by the staff. The young gentleman who served my was quite knowledgeable about trees and proper fertilizer products to get them rooting right away. Great experience overall!!!!

plants all look really healthy. I got some zinnias and a few other things. I visit here when I'm in peterborough

Love it here and the quality of plants. It's changed over the past few years though. Used to have an amazing show room with tons of decor, but nothing great anymore, kind of lack luster now. Also, it just feels different like the staff aren't really into you. They are still nice and customer service is ok, but you don't feel special like you used to. I don't know, it could just be something really amazing again.

I have been shopping at Johnston since we moved to Peterborough almost 30 years ago..purchasing all our trees and shrubs plus our annuals and perennials. I have never during this time had to use their guarantee of one year" until recently. On May 1st I purchased 3 shrubs and called as they were not doing well..all the foliage had fallen off and the stems were going black...I called in August...I had been watering and baby them daily. I was told that I had not watered them enough...no empathy was shown...I felt brushed off. I am so very disappointed in a garden centre that I had been loyal to. Thank goodness for Griffins."
