Hard to know where to start... Have had the absolute privilege of working with SOM and my classes for over a decade now. This school provides world class musician instructors, top notch instruments and a style of instruction that allows students to feel safe and supported as they tackle a new challenge/opportunity. For students facing multiple barriers to success already, the chance to undertake music lessons in such an amazing setting is indeed a frequent life changing experience. Many students I have worked with have continued to pursue music for years after their first experiences at SOM. I am professionally and personally thankful for the great work this school does

I rember comrade Robyn came back from Japan and bragged about touring with Sarah. I rember moving into Mount Pleasant and seeing her tiny Music Outreach office above the Christian Supplies Warehouse. I rember her spiffing new school two blocks east when the warehouse was demolished. I rember my colleagues encouraging me to sign up the most marginalized and vulnerable students to SSoM. I remeber signing up my younger son in grade seven. I rember my older son starting his first job at Bikes For All just down the street and working on Sarah's bike for an upcoming auction while his brother was singing and strumming.Last year Sarah's foundation had my boy's back to get into the Berklee School of Music. Thank you for giving all our children the space to find their voices, eh?
