Dropped off a bit of cardboard and styrofoam because I didn’t feel like cutting the cardboard up, and breaking down the styrofoam into a garbage bag.Absolute scam. No mention of minimum price when I entered. On exit, their scale said the load was 3-4X heavier than it was.Paid $17. Could have purchased a garbage tag for $2.50 instead.

EDITIt appears they were closed at noon because they were having a staff party which is fine however they forgot to put signs up on the front gate letting everybody know hence the confusion. They apologized for it and the service the following day was groovy.Woke up early Saturday morning and the wife and I spent time loading up the truck with yard waste, old wood, tanks, etc only to arrive at 2pm and it was CLOSED? Gates locked, no one on site, and the phone message saying they were busy on the other line LOL. No signs noting it was closed for a specific reason AND I called the day before and the man told me they are open tomorrow (being today, Saturday) from 830 to 5. While we were there 6 other groups of people showed up with tons of stuff loaded in their cars and trucks and we all sat baffled at them being closed.

Thankfully I called ahead since the website was not very clear with details in regards to wood recycling. Angela left a helpful voicemail which I am thankful because they were going to charge $26 which was steeper than what their competition wanted. At least this saves me from a potentially disappointing trip.In the far past, I did benefit them from their rare free mulch offer. I don't know if that's still being offered on location but I'll keep my eye just in case.

Tried to drop off scrap copper wire for two days in a row and was pretty much told to f myself. First day I showed up right at closing and then the next day show up and was laughed at for not knowing that one section is closed on Sundays, (hours of operation on Google don't say that it just says open till 5) had one of the 10 or so employees mentioned that the day before instead of just repeating yeah idk man

When we pulled up to the scale we were met by a very friendly, helpful gentleman who guided us as to where we were to dispose of our load. There was a gentleman in the truck behind me waiting for me to go into the yard. All of a sudden, one of the truck drivers Came around the corner and started to literally scream at the gentleman behind me. He kept saying get off of my road, stop blocking the road. He was yelling, lots of profanities at the man. I could not understand how he was blocking the driveway or the truck driver in any way. I had just been in the very same spot and did not get yelled at. I felt so bad for the gentleman as the yelling went on for quite a while. I’m not sure how this behaviour was permitted. It was not a very appropriate way to treat a customer or a person in general. I will not be returning.

Best place in Victoria for this service. Well organized, and friendly staff. Yes, it's pricey, so when you do make a dump, make sure it's a full load and worth it. You are paying for convenience, rather than hauling it out to the middle of no where or an entirely different city. Honestly, it's worth it when you are doing multiple trips.

Be sure to know roughly the weight you are dropping off. Consistently over charge and do not calibrate scales often enough. I gave them an extra star for at least offering up a refund but only after I called and had to argue I was over charged.

Our house was missed this morning, I was home and saw it get skipped. Dispatch was super kind and helpful when I called it in. They sent another truck… I watched the truck come back, slow down and drive away a second time. Very frustrating and confusing since the second time it was clearly intentional.Edit: despite your reply that it was in fact a confusion and the driver would be back it is now 5:30pm and the bins were never emptied. If your company says they are going to do something at least be prepared to follow though.

I went to drop off the metal frame of a tiny trampoline (1m across). At the gate I was told it would cost $18 to drop it off. When I expressed surprise, the attendant claimed to know nothing about less expensive metal drop off options. Turns out, around the corner at Schnitzer Steel, they PAY you to drop off your metal. This is where Ellice goes to sell their metal after they first charge you to accept it. Nice scam they have going. Do not bring your metal here!
