Fascinating displays of hundred year old mechanical engineering, educational historical artifacts of shipworks, wood working, fishing nets, snatch blocks, and more. The whole site and all exhibits are free.

Great place to drop by and look around and in many old wooden ship yard buildings and boat yards. Lots of original equipment and machinery on display. ( And it's all free to visit!).. pair up a visit here with a visit to the Cannery site further down the road, and maybe a visit to London Farm for a really good journey back to the past.

Great place to learn about the history of fishing and canning in British Columbia. Has a few of the original buildings still standing with pictures and writings about each building and what went on.

A sweet little spot with a lot of historical context. It wasn't open today (closed for winter) but I will definitely be coming back to learn all the things.

Interesting historical place to see how workers lived in a cannery. They had a historical interpreter at the Murakami House who you can ask questions to.

A really nice museum, that's worth seeing and taking some time to stroll through. Friendly staff is happy to talk to you about a part of important history in this region. And a nice benefit...just far enough that it makes for a perfect outing and a little trip out of Vancouver, but not too far at the same time.

Absolutely the hidden gem in richmond! Never knew this place's existence until Richmond Business Chamber host the event here.Great atmosphere and very interesting / useful information to learn about the history of Richmond. There are a handful of knowledgeable volunteers helping and sharing the fun stories during the weekend!Highly recommend anyone who is looking for a day trip in Richmond.
