Frontiersman Motel
We were just recently their from Sept 3rd to the 8th. The staff were wonderful, very friendly. Very clean rooms, we had a kitchenette and was very affordable, definitely will be back in the future. Nice clean beach in the back. To bad washrooms were closed because of covid. Great weekend. Thank you Frontiersman motel for a wonderful stay.

This would surely warrant a five-star review...if I lived in an inverted universe from this one where something malodorous and execrable was synonymous with our definition of something praiseworthy. Staying here served two purposes: it illustrated my gullibility, as I assumed the other reviews were encapsulated within the reasonable person standard; it provided me with a great conversation starter: I once stayed in a motel so awful that...". Apart from the latter two points

This little motel is very convenient. The staff was excellent.It has everything you need in the room. Even though the room is dated, everything is clean and comfortable.The bathroom is modern.The air conditioner worked well as did the refrigerator / freezer. The air conditioner actually eliminated any traffic noise. We both had a wonderful sleep!Note: the volume control for the TV is on the side of the remote!Suggestions: a simple bag breakfast would go a long way to help the guests. There are no restaurants in the vicinity.The bathroom mirror is so low that it is difficult to shave in the morning!

We were really stuck for a place to stay and called very last minute. Absolutely outstanding customer service! We arrived and I was so excited with the Schitt's Creek vibe this place has! Incredibly clean and well maintained. Soft comfortable bedding. The solid quality furnishing from the 80's are fun and functional. Satellite tv gives you every channel you could hope for. Free wifi. I'm in a kitchenette room with hotplate, coffee pot, kettle, microwave and more. Fun, funky and functional. Love it!

Rooms are admittedly dated but beds are quite comfortable and staff is friendly and accommodating. Stayed here during a wicked thunderstorm and the building kept the noise and rain out just fine. Shower runs hot. Was also able to keep my motorcycle under the stairs and out of the rain which was a plus.If you need a 5 star hotel with a intercontinental breakfast served by a maid, choose elsewhere. If you want a simple and affordable room with comfortable beds and a nostalgic tint to it look no further.

What a special place! So, when I arrived, I was told that my room wasn't ready. However, a special room was set up for me, and when I checked in, treats and a bottle of red wine was in my room. This is the gem of Tamiskaming Lake. Two awesome ladies do a great job running this place. The vibe was very good, I enjoyed my stay, and I plan on returning. I highly recommend and highly endorse. You might not get the royal treatment that I got, but, you will certainly like the two ladies steering the ship. Thank-you!

The customer service at this motel is incredible. This is exactly what I expect when looking for a motel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There was actually water pressure and proper hot water in the shower, which if you travel to motels you know is very rare. Everything was recently updated and the bed was clean and soft.

Good place to stay if you want to go fishing, canoeing, ect. There's the kitchen in our room. Unfortunately, only in our room there was no air conditioning. A little bit noisy. The bed and the washroom door were very creaky.
