Yonge Eglinton Apartments - Orchard View

The location is very convenient, but the management is ridiculous. My unit had the floor sticking out, cockroaches and mold on the wall, and all I heard from the management was “we don’t know when we will repair it”. The treatment for the cockroaches was so poorly done that the cockroaches kept coming. The floor was never fixed because the real problem is the quality of the building, the doors and windows are not sealed properly so the cold air gets inside the unit, and inside there is the hot air from the heater, so I had a lot of water coming down the windows, creating mold on the wall and going under the floor, causing the floor to stick out. The worse experience I have ever had, it’s just not worth the price. Run way from this building!

Norman and Catalina have been so great to talk to about any issues within the building! I love the changes that CAPREIT has made over the past 4 years, it really makes the building modern! The staff are very friendly, and the maintenance is done fairly quickly. I will say, it can be noisy outside (we are in Midtown after all!) But I have no complaints with living in the building.

Nice management specially norman,he is very friendly. But the windows are not sealed and have mold inside the apartment ,always cold.i live here for 10 years and i never asked for anything. But they should change the cabinets after this many years,not good quality.and also change the washrooms mirror and cabinets

The resent renovation in the building combined with the 24 hours of subway constructions , the fire station near by where constant fire fighters siren. Then over night TTC blue line buses, the noise level has gotten really bad at night time as it is near the Yonge and eglinton subway construction. The noise is brutal and isn’t worth the convenience. The noise within the building is not bad. I am not sure why a lot of negative reviews about the Managment. I moved here in March and so far, I had nothing but pleasant experience with the Managment Office. I had issues in my unit and sent a request via the building portal and it was immediately resolved. They responded promptly and fix the issue in a professional manner. Special shout out goes to the Ladies in the office (Susanna and Catalina.) I was pleasantly surprised. I also see that Managment replaced a brand new carpet in the hall ways and the floors and wall. However as convenient the location is. The noise level from Yonge and eglinton is brutal. I will not be renewing my lease.

I'm a long term resident who came to embrace the central mid-town location where nearly everything you need is nearby. The building is mid-70s but well maintained and therefore larger units that are more affordable than the new condos across the street. And parking is cheaper at YEC. Most importantly the rental office staff and operations Manager responsible for the building, are well experienced here. They are approachable, honest, responsive and will endeavour to meet your requests while always respecting your wishes.

The manager and leasing office are very nice and very easy to work with. While not every place is perfect for everyone, I was a resident for over a year and was happy with my time there. I have also recommended numerous friends of mine to live there. I’ve heard that since I moved the company has made numerous improvements including adding a gym.

Such an amazing team at Orchard View! The time I spent at the building was great, and I cannot thank Norman and Catalina enough for everything! This building is in good hands with them leading the office.

This is a pretty decent place, with nice management. Catalina, Norman, and Suzanna are caring people who do what they can do to help, when they can.The location is excellent. Building is old, and maitanance is not always the best with disorganized and not-so-qualified contractors.During the past few years however whenever I had thoughts of moving, after a thorough look at options all midtwon and downtown Toronto, I ended up choosing this place again.

I will be moving out this year. Absolutely disgusting and immoral people work in the office. They are nice to deal with when you view the apartment, but nasty after you sign the lease. Don't be fooled by the great location. Of the few decent people I have met in the building, they claim over the last ten years this place has gone downhill. Most of the normal people have moved out due to poor management.

I have called 33 Orchard View Boulevard my home for 3 years, and it has been a beautiful resident experience. The building feels secure and the team on site makes living in this building a great experience. Kudos to Norman, Catalina, Susanna and the facilities team for being awesome and super helpful all along. Can't emphasize more on the strategic location and the connectivity to commute easily anywhere in the city. And nothing beats the amazing neighborhood action for all your food cravings and shopping. I'm going to carry some beautiful memories of living here. Highly recommend, if you're new in the city.
