Some may see our modern day Legions or other gathering spots for veterans of war as bygone institutions. Places where you go to get a beer and a 50/50 ticket for a meat draw and that's it, but no.Look beneath what is visible on the surface and what you see are old friends stitched together from the bonds of war, men and women who have seen inordinate levels of loss, yet are bound by their camaraderie and companionship to meet and greet each other despite the ongoing battles this world invariably succumbs to. This is what people miss.So make your way down to the local arena of friendship. I highly recommend it.

It's a place to have a quick beer but wouldn't make it my favorite place to party

Very good legion, complete with vets, cheap beer, TVs, and long board shuffle board. This legion even has a kitchen, although I can't vouch for their food. Worth checking out if you like legions but don't want to put up with the hipsters at the one on Main Street.

Great meat draws...karaoke too on Saturday nights at 7pm

$4/hr to play on some very well kept snooker tables at the back. You'll need loonies or cash to get change for loonies to put in the machine that turns the lights on so you can play. Make sure you add loonies to the machine that matches its corresponding table number. $1 = 15 minutes
