WINS Thrift Store (Women In Need Society)
This happened recently ( March 2022). I gave my mom drinking glasses to donate to WINS. They were in excellent condition, & about 18 of them. The boxes were marked with large lettering FRAGILE. A woman working there (who my mom did not recognize as a regular employee), took the boxes & threw them, along with everything else people had donated! My mom said to her “well, they’re probably broken now”. The woman mumbled something under her breath. We’re giving you something of value, for FREE, so PLEASE be respectful of other people, & their generosity. All of those beautiful drinking glasses, I’m sure are garbage now, as they would have surely broken.

I'm impressed of Julie's management skills. She organizes the store very neatly. I've been a WINs customer for over 10 years now and I could see the difference when someone takes charge of the store seriously.

Thank you everyone at WINS for all your hard work, I appreciate being able to get all that I need for myself and my kids. Unfortunately I have seen the prices going up a lot around the store day by day which is very disappointing as it is getting harder and harder for me to afford items like I used to. The prices are drawing me away from going to the store which I don’t like to say because there is a lovely lady who works there. Her name is Isabella and she is the kindest funniest person, every time I go in, I hope to see her and the smile she brings to my face. She always welcomes customers with cheer, joy, and humour. And I am going to miss her even more than I miss the items that I used to be able to afford

GREAT SELECTION, QUICK TURN OVERThis is a good WINS location with lots of selection and quality items for being such a small store. It is organized though very full and has many items from kitchen, clothing, shoes, and bags. I suggest other larger locations for furniture and more house hold items. The staff are friendly and helpful, it always seems busy when I am there but they are able to keep lines moving. I feel much better about taking my items here rather than other big name secondhand stores because I know this company actually does good in the community rather than donate 10c per item that they could turn around and sell for 35$ like other stores. Check back often if you have a specific item you are looking for. Keep your receipt if the item is electric or something you may find doesn't work for you. They are very good about returns.

This store is a WIN ! How can you go wrong when helping a charity and other woman who need a hand up. Found a great antique bench,a beautiful guess purse and some Nike runners that look like they never been worn. Ladies that work there were pleasant and helpful.

Why girls and I love to thrift, and when we go on our rounds, WINS, this location, always makes the list! Last time I went they had some crazy sale prices and I walked away with an amazing haul, including a summer dress and scarf, right off the manikin ;) , these lovely bride coloured pencil sketches and frames in the prettiest of greg, accented with gold (see picture), toss pillows from Pier One, one still with prices tags, this amazing vase, hand made with a variety of red glass with hues of gold, textured, very elegant, made in India (so was the scarf, very pretty). maybe something else, idk, but to all came to $22.50. wow!

Clean and well organized thrift store with a large selection.Only feedback would be that aisles are very tight and don’t have enough room for two people to comfortably pass each other. Would be nice if they organized the clothes so that sizing was the same on each side, instead of alternating sizing order each rack. So if you need small you could just stay on that side of the store

My partner and I are regular customers of this WINs location and have been meaning to make this review for the wonderful ladies who work very hard there. Isabela is one of the lovely positive people you will meet and won't forget! She is so grateful to just be alive. Always friendly and welcoming to everyone who walks in the door! She is just one of the many personable women and men who work and donate their time to stock and manage this much loved and appreciated community thrift store! I would recommend checking it out as you never know what wonderful things you'll find, and you might make a friend or two along the way!

Bought a dark red peacoat and a lightweight beige coat here for only $8 each. They also had very warm, thick Calgary weather scarves for only $2 each. Very affordable prices and a friendly staff. There are fitting rooms to try things on. Highly recommend stopping by! :)

Scammer, this store sells not working electronic products to customers (they know the product is not working) saying you can return within 7 days, but refused to refund when you request to return the faulty electronic products. Be careful everyone. I will never shop in this “charity” again! Naming itself a charity organization to help women in need, but scam people to make a profit!
